Course Breakdown
This qualification is not a technical certificate which you spend most of your time in a classroom or workshop, but rather a qualification that is completed in a place of work. To be able to complete this qualification you must be able to evidence your electrotechnical competency by completing Electrical installations on site and then have your work assessed by one of our Assessors. The majority of the assessment programme is completed on site (a real place of work and not a training centre), a small amount at the training centre and then the final stage is an assessment known as the AM2 (Achieved Measurement), which will be completed at an AM2 approved centre.
Why do you need the Level 3 NVQ Electrical qualification?
It allows for Electrical Improvers and Experienced Workers to progress in their career as a qualified Electrician and onto the AM2 Assessment:
Upon completion of the AM2, Electrical Improvers and Experienced Workers can do the following:
Obtain the status of “Electrician” with the JIB. If you wish to join them or work for an Electrical Contracting firm that is a member of the JIB.
Obtain a JIB Gold ECS card.
Become a Part P registered “Approved Electrician” with one of the Part P scheme providers such as NICEIC, Elecsa or NAPIT.
What does the Level 3 NVQ Electrical programme consist of?
There is no duration set for the level 3 NVQ as it will be down to the trainee, depending on how long it will take for he/she to complete a portfolio of evidence and obtain the Electrical work needed to complete the targets set by City and Guilds. The stages include:
A small qualification bridging unit and assessment is undertaken at the training centre.
Portfolio sessions will be taken at the centre to guide the trainee.
Assessments are completed on site.
A final assessment (AM2) will be completed at an AM2 centre - Not included in course fees.
Do you charge for site assessments and if so, how much does a visit cost?

C&G 2346 NVQ Level 3 Experienced Worker Route
The EWR is for electricians who have been working in the industry for at least 5 years but have not formally completed an industry apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ qualification. 
Successful completion of the NVQ and AM2 assessment will satisfy the entry criteria for JIB accredited Gold Card status.

This course is designed for candidates who wish to complete the City & Guilds 2357 NVQ Level 3 with an aim to becoming a JIB registered electrician. 
This bolt-on is aimed at Candidates with an existing Level 3 C&G 2330 and C&G 2365, successful completion of the NVQ and AM2 assessment will satisfy the entry criteria for JIB accredited electricians.

Our CITB Online - Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Refresher course is designed to give attendees a broad reminder of their responsibilities for health and safety on construction sites. Approved and endorsed by the United Kingdom Contractors Group, the SSSTS refresher course is a must for anyone who occupies a supervisory role on UKCG sites and wants to brush up on their knowledge of their legal responsibilities and the latest construction industry regulations.
The SSSTS Refresher course has been created to provide existing supervisors, or those who are just entering into a supervisory role, with in-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and procedures. If a candidate completed a full SSSTS training course up to 5 years ago, they will be required to attend a refresher programme.
Prerequisites
SSSTS certificates are of course valid for up to 5 years, but due to the ever-changing nature of the industry, it is recommended that staff stay up to date by enrolling on a refresher course long before the qualification expires.
Instructions
Please note all Site Supervisor Training courses with the venue “Remote Learning” will be delivered by a tutor over a video call.
This training will be delivered and assessed in English language; therefore, a good standard is required to complete the course.

Our Virtual Learning courses provide the same high-quality tuition as our classroom-based sessions. From the comfort of your own home, you will have the opportunity to communicate with your tutor and classmates through video chat, using your phone or computer camera. Quarterly meetings at the Academy
To ensure a well-rounded learning experience, you will be required to attend face-to-face lessons at the Academy on a quarterly basis, which means every three months. These sessions serve several important purposes:

Practical Units: Some aspects of the course require hands-on practical training. The face-to-face lessons will cover these practical units, allowing you to gain valuable experience and apply the knowledge you have acquired during the virtual learning sessions.

Tests and Mock Exams: These assessments are important for evaluating your progress, identifying areas for improvement, and preparing you for the final exams. The Academy will provide a controlled and supervised environment to ensure the integrity and fairness of these assessments.
Attending quarterly face-to-face lessons provides a balanced approach to your learning journey. This is a paid job, unless you would like to work voluntary for personal reasons. We also provide a reference letter to the employee in case you need it.

When are the exams?
There are two exams:
1. Multiple choice theory exam. November and March.
2. Practical exam. January and June. 
Record of Experience (eROE)
To be eligible to sit your first exam, you have to complete your electronic Record of Experience (eROE). The eROE has to be submitted to your tutor by 31st Jan for March exam, and 31st August for November exam.

BRCGS Packaging Materials Issue 7: Sites Training (2 Days)

This official BRCGS course will provide auditors who have audited against Issue 6 of the Standard with details of the changes to format and content of the Standard, with a review of audit protocol and BRCGS expectations. It includes particular reference to the changes in order to better reflect the diversity of the Packaging industry and how this affects them. 
Delegates will understand the requirements of Issue 7 to support in their audit preparation, the audit, non-conformities, corrective actions, root cause analysis and certificate issue.
A good technical knowledge of the packaging industry is essential. Before attending the course, Delegates must download and read a copy of the Standard, which is available as a free download from the BRCGS Store.
At the end of the course, you will: 
Understand the background and benefits of the Standard
Be able to outline the details of the audit and certification programme
Determine audit scope and plan the audit
Understand what it is to have an audit, non-conformities and corrective actions
Know how to report issues and use BRCGS resources
