This half day or whole day course is designed around a project planning workbook that will provide participants with questions and practical advice to ensure that a project is well thought-out and practical, with clear aims and objectives. It will also help to ensure that if you are applying for project funding that you have answers to all the likely questions you will be asked. The half day course will cover the basics and ensure that the most important areas of project planning are addressed. The course could be extended to a whole day, covering all the areas and offering time for participants to complete the majority of the work book. The course would be suitable for anyone who is planning a project or who needs to re-focus a project that is not working effectively.

Our 2 day course will enable students who have successfully completed a Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF or RQF) to re-certify. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with injuries to bones, muscles and joints. Assess an incident. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries. Manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected chest injuries. Manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally. Enabling them to be workplace first aiders under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This qualification is also for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities. This will allow them to provide basic first aid to people in a range of situations. Pre-requisites Students must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training. Students must be in possession of an in date First Aid at Work Certificate. Assessment and Certifications Assessment of this course is continuous and includes two theory/multiple choice question papers. Successful students will receive an Immerse Training Certificate, which is valid for three years. This certificate will be issued by Qualsafe, the awarding body for Immerse Training. Drawing from the international research and literature and our own experience over many years as educational psychologists of the challenges of children with major social and emotional needs, we will explore together what the best practice can and could look like. We explore the language of attachment and outline very practical classroom strategies. We look at what Psychology may help us in our understanding of children who have faced issues with love and attachment. We explore the feelings of being on a desolate island of relational poverty or to imagine swimming with sharks. We explore the themes of violence, anxiety and experience of being a victim as young people grow older. We look at telling lies and explore how we can respectfully understand this. We reveal the new and innovative compass of vulnerability – the cognitive errors to which some are much more vulnerable. We look at triggers, self regulation and unpack a range of strategies.  Transference and counter transference are examined along with splitting, handling projected feelings, constancy and permanence.
