Learn how to measure, cut and stitch accurate patchwork quilt blocks in this one day workshop. Part of a 4 day quilt course, but suitable as a stand alone class too. This class is a great class to take after the beginners class as the sewing will be mostly straight lines and it will allow you to practice more seams and other skills learned in the beginners class. You will need to know how to handle a sewing machine for this class but it's very much still a class that's achievable for beginners. You will cover design, measuring, cutting, the use of various tools, and stitching.

Learn how to cut and stitch a variety of fun improv quilt blocks in this one day workshop. There will be a further patchwork class on 18th November, a free motion stitching and appliqué class on 25th November and a final workshop on 9th December to learn to put the quilt sandwich together, and bind it.

Learn to applique, learn what tools and tricks you need to really make this work for you. Also get to grips with the really free and artistic free motion machine embroidery technique. Set your machine free to draw with it, combined with applique you can make stunning art! This is a very practical and hands on class which will see you appliqueing & free motion stitching in no time, the techniques are easily mastered so you can spend your time creating. In an early article regarding molar memories, Joe Griffin termed them ‘an ancient mechanism that is ruining lives’; and the impact of such driven urges on the lives of our clients cannot be underestimated. Molar memories can, on first encountering the theory, seem complicated and unfathomable, but this course will set them – and sub-threshold traumas and the use of the affect bridge to access both – within a clear framework of understanding, linking back to the way in which our brain perceives things (referencing the APET model) and to RIGAAR (how we structure a good therapy session). During the course, numerous case studies will be shared and used as the basis for exercises, and there will be ample opportunity to link the learning to your own experiences in the therapy room.
