On behalf of the Ashdown Elementary School (AES) staff, I am happy to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year. AES is a kindergarten through fifth-grade campus. With this change, there will be a lot of familiar faces, as well as some new ones. One thing that did not change is the hard work that our staff will put in to provide our students with a safe learning environment where our students will be successful! One of the greatest resources at AES is the parents/guardians of our students. Communication is the key factor in building the bond between the school and parents/guardians. Most importantly, register to receive messages through Remind from your child’s teacher. At AES, the staff works diligently to see all students succeed. Each day, students will be given opportunities to demonstrate their strengths through activities that are both engaging and challenging. Teachers will give guided instruction as students complete these activities to ensure their success. I know that with the many changes and adjustments we had to do during the last school year, there will still be adjustments to our schedules and activities this year. We plan to make every effort to keep our parents notified as changes are made. My focus is on your child’s safety as we move forward while following district, state, and federal guidelines.

Education Partnerships UK has changed my life. I was a shy person who did not believe in herself before I started the level 4 teaching course. Now I have become a person with ambitious, high goals, confidence and have completed my level 5. I believe I would not have achieved this if I had taken the mainstream road. Going to University does not accommodate my personal life. I have had two job offers since completing. When you believe in yourself, life is not the same anymore. It was when I was attending a my daughters graduation the advice the lecture gave to the young people now going out into the work place was this “If you can do what you enjoy doing as if when you go on vacation and make this your vocation you will never work another day in your life”This thought really hit home to me. Living and working in North London for 30 years I wondered what did really want to do. Where would I like to be? What did I enjoy doing Etc.? This was the easy part, I enjoyed my Motorcycle riding, and my charity work with Advanced Motorcyclist Group where I had become an observer with them. I enjoyed teaching others become safer better riders and seeing them enjoy their new riding skills. So career change to do what I enjoyed was required. A Fresh Start, a new way of life. The hard part was getting the training and qualifications and passed the DVSA test. In order to run a DVSA (ATB). My own motorcycle training school when completed the dsa exams I first moved and run a Motorcycle training school in west Cumbria.2003 then with the law changes with the 2 part test it ment a relocation and we moved to manchester area and been ruinning the training school in mancheter Atherton area since 2008 But in 2008 there was changes in the motorcycle test was conducted with the now know 2 part test with new test centres (mptc) required in order to do the new off road manoeuvres, but it meant over a 50 mile trip to the my nearest test centre. Because of this I felt I had to relocate and move my established business closer to one of the new DSA test centres, this we did at the start off 2008. Now we are based in Atherton Manchester only 1/2 mile from the DVSA test center i belive that we are the closest training school to any dvsa motorcycle mod 1 test area ,

Prosper Life Initiatives started out as an informal women’s group, meeting in each other’s homes to undertake different activities to empower each other and talk about different issues affecting our general-being. As women we realised there were a lot of barriers that hindered our progress to reach our full potential, with some having changed careers to start all over due migration and working in low paid jobs, family pressures, social isolation, lack of support networks and many other challenges. This left many women feeling frustrated, struggling financially and unfulfilled. Coming together to talk about these issues provided only a sense of temporary relief and Prosper emerged out of that need to support one another to change our experiences as women. It’s a platform where women come together, learn, share, inspire and build relationships to make positive changes to improve their well-being and those around them.

Dr Aseri has been working as a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine and Clinical Lead for Acute Pain Services at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust since February 2016. He obtained a Certificate of Completion of Training [CCT] in Anaesthetics in August 2015 from Health Education North West. Dr Aseri has completed Advanced Pain Training (APT) at one of the well renowned tertiary pain centres, The Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Liverpool and obtained a Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FFPMRCA). Dr Aseri regularly participate in service development projects and clinical effectiveness meetings throughout his career. He recognises audit as a clinical governance tool that can change practice and improve clinical performance. Dr Aseri is a course director for a national study day “Joint Management of Joint Pain” which is approved by Royal College of Anaesthetists for CPD. Throughout my career I have been involved with undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching both on a formal and an informal basis.
