Skills4Reform is a Social Enterprise and our aim is to provide employability skills training, support and guidance to prisoners and ex-offenders of any age. We work with prisons to identify individuals due to be released within 3 months who genuinely wish to change and work. Upon completion of the programme we help them find meaningful employment or apprenticeship placements, through our partners and networks. Our objective is to reduce re-offending, rebuild lives and rebuild communities and we do this by adopting the following core principles: Building confidence Empowerment & Accountability Support through mentoring Training With high unemployment rates in the UK, the statistics for ex-offenders finding employment are bleak. According to government figures, 46% of adult prisoners re-offend within a year of release, costing UK taxpayers £13bn a year. Skills4Reform has started to establish and build itself nationally with a network of supporters with its roots based at HMP Thameside, London operated by Serco Group Plc. Skilled facilitators deliver structured sessions and over the last three years Skills4Reform have: Developed and designed a programme which covers a number of topics such as: - Building Confidence - Communication Skills - CV & Interview skills - Presentation & Networking Skills - Money Skills

Loughton Music Academy (LMA) is a private school specialising in Music education in a variety of music styles and have been delivering bespoke and curriculum based music tuition since 2005. The school currently facilitates tuition for 550 students per term and also offers tuition in Languages & Art workshops. Most of our classes are after school hours, evenings and weekends at times that don’t conflict with academic school studies or regular working hours. However, we also have a growing community of adult learners during weekday times. All major music examination boards containing NQF and EQF credits are taught including ABRSM, IPVAEB, Orange learn, Trinity, LCM, Peembeck, IPMA, Rsl (formerly rockschool), RGT and new for 2021 the LMA’s own newly accredited Piano exams. For our Language classes we teach the UK curriculum upto and including G.C.S.E as well as conversational classes. We work in partnership with Richmond and Hillcroft Adult Community College (RHACC) and are funded by the Council to deliver three support contracts for the sector, under the branding Community Connections Richmond: Strategic Leadership, Voice and Representation – supports voluntary groups to have voice Richmond Volunteer Service - supports local people to volunteer in their community Capacity Building Service - helps voluntary groups to develop and thrive Additionally we: provide the Strategic Lead function for the children and young people’s voluntary sector and offer specific support for organisations working in this area run a Community Involvement service which works with individuals who use local health and care services to inform and shape service design and delivery We receive grants and fees from a range of bodies and use these to achieve our charitable objectives and deliver a range of services to support member organisations and the voluntary sector as a whole. Membership of Richmond CVS is free and open to charitable, voluntary and community groups working in the borough of Richmond upon Thames. Our Board of Trustees is elected by our members. We are a member of the South London CVS Partnership alongside counterpart organisations in Kingston, Merton, Sutton, Croydon and Bromley.

After 36 years, of working with The Montessori Method, (with both parents and children), I am offering Conscious Parenting sessions online, to support parents who struggle to be present with their children. When we become parents... somehow over time, (with all the best intentions in the world), fall into the trap of endless routines; unreal expectations, and bucket loads of control, never considering the effect we are having on our children's self esteem and well being. Add to this the endless stream of social media overload, un-vetted (and often inaccurate) advice, peer pressure and expectations, it's no wonder parents get lost in it all... Childhood is a very short ‘hood’ and in the blink of an eye our children are into teenage ‘hood’ and adult ‘hood‘ and we are left wondering, where the time has gone. All we truly have is the present moment.

St Bonaventure’s has a long and distinguished history. Our school has been providing the very best education for Roman Catholic boys in this area since before 1875. The school was founded on its current site in 1877 by the Franciscan Friars, making St Bonaventure’s one of the oldest Catholic boys’ schools in the country – only the London Oratory is older. 2017 saw us celebrating 140 years of education in Forest Gate and although the World has changed immensely in that time, one thing remains the same and that is the love and care each student receives every single day by dedicated staff and teachers. Our school motto, “In Sanctitate et Doctrina” symbolises what we expect from all members of our school. We are a community, based upon faith which impacts upon every element of our academic and personal lives and we expect everyone, adult and child, to ensure that they learn something new each day. We are a Roman Catholic school, founded on gospel values and our boys are an important and integral part of the faith community. Christian principles are at the very heart of all that we do at St Bonaventure’s. I am very proud to be associated with a school that is a successful as St Bonaventure’s and I thank all students and staff, both current and previous for all their hard work, effort and commitment to their Church and their education. This is a school that every member of the school community feels privileged to be associated with. We support charities on a local, national and international level. Our boys give freely of their time and their money. Our CAFOD group raises over £2000 each year and we support Brentwood Catholic Children’s Society, Caritas Anchor House, Richard House Children’s Hospice and other charities.

As a child, Rob Allen had wanted to be either a farmer, an archaeologist, or Luke Skywalker, so no one was more surprised when he became a teacher in his late twenties. Having experienced his own schooling as a perplexing ordeal that was best avoided, he cites a combination of cross-country running and his English teacher as the reasons he made it through to complete his education. Whilst he acknowledges that the teacher is not a therapist, he feels they serve an important therapeutic function since traumatised children regularly use class discussions and their creative writing as a vehicle to disclose their experiences. To this end, Robert A. Johnson, Irvin Yalom and Alice Miller were more constructively formative in his early career identity than Piaget or the Minister for Education ever were. Whilst he has worked as a pastoral lead across a variety of age ranges, it has been his work as an unofficial mentor where he has found the most satisfaction, acting as an emotionally available adult to individuals with a variety of needs and challenges, and from diverse cultures and backgrounds. He is currently employed by an independent school in Kent, where he is Head of English, deputy- DSL, a CEOP ambassador, and a PGCE/ NQT mentor. His current interests are in the application of Jungian thought to educational models and supporting the work of Trauma Informed Schools.
