childrens attendance welfare services
Leicester
CAWS was founded in 2012 to bridge the gap left when Leicestershire County
Council withdrew their Attendance Improvement Service and its Officers from
schools. Since then, CAWS has expanded to providing its services from a handful
of schools to over 40 schools. CAWS has at its fingertips, the knowledge and
expertise of a qualified Education Welfare Officer with more than 20 years’
experience in relation to education and school attendance. CAWS is a focused,
committed and positive company, who provides schools, parents, children and
young people with support, advice, and knowledge with regard to attendance and
welfare concerns at school. Our overall goal is to ensure that children and
young people gain access to education and attend school regularly.
