Independent association of Aikido dojos | Martial Arts | Aikido | Self-defence |
Yorkshire,White Rose Aikikai is an independent association of Aikido dojos. It
was formed in 1979 by Shane Riley Shihan, 7th Dan, to promote and foster the
practice and spirit of Traditional Aikido as originated by O-Sensei Morihei
Ueshiba. The association is a member of the British Aikido Board (BAB), and
enjoys links with many Aikido organisations and individual high-ranking
instructors in the UK and throughout the world, which enables it to fulfill its
primary aims. These are the further development of Aikido through the
individual’s commitment to its principles and philosophy, and conversely, the
development of the individual through a lifetime study of Aikido.
