Kidslingo is dedicated to providing fun French and Spanish language classes to young kids, using song, dance, games & drama to inspire our young learners.Together with my team of amazing tutors we are absolutely thrilled to run Kidslingo classes in Glasgow South. We offer fun, interactive and exciting language sessions for children of pre-school or primary school age. These sessions use songs, games, storytelling and lots of drama to inspire the linguists of the future. There are always plenty of bubbles and stickers too! As can be expected from such a high-quality learning experience, all courses with Kidslingo are carefully aligned to the CfE Experiences and Outcomes for early level modern languages, literacy and health and wellbeing. Classes available in nurseries, primary schools, private venues or in your own home.

We teach weekly Swing Dance classes for adults in the Glasgow area. Dance styles we teach include; Lindy hop, Charleston, Collegiate Shag and vintage solo jazz. Little Greene Yoga runs classes for adults, children, teenagers and postnatal mums as part of its weekly timetable. They offer a full program for primary and secondary school, including in-house training for school teachers around central scotland – “Yoga for all stages of life”. Veronica is passionate about teaching yoga and feels extremely fortunate to have been teaching some of her younger students for more than 13 years. As the children have evolved both mentally and physically so has the ”Little Greene Yoga” syllabus which combines her classical yoga training with fun techniques aimed at stimulating each specific age group. She believes that children can be taught the connection between body and mind, gain valuable life tools and respect for themselves if the class is tailored to their individual needs.

Our basic model works in two ways: Community classes for adults age 18 and up are run out of our Shawlands Language Nest, offered on a semester basis, in-person and online for a period of 10 weeks each time. These classes are bookable by individuals through our website here. The surplus revenue from these community classes cross-subsidise our work with older adults, including those living with dementia in care homes, community groups and day centres across Scotland. These care classes are only bookable in partnership with an organisation. The Language Nest A picture of students from our 2022 Summer Semester in the cosy Shawlands Language Nest! We run classes for adults of all ages in our very own Lingo Flamingo Language Nest, located in Shawlands, Glasgow, an area known for its vibrancy, diversity and strong sense of community. We still use the same sensory, stimulating techniques to make classes fun and accessible, but these classes are designed for those living without a dementia diagnosis from age 18 upwards. We also continue to emphasise the health benefits and show that language learning can be for everyone. All the money that is raised through the Language Nest gets put towards our work with older adults including those living with dementia. That’s to say, each and every penny of surplus revenue is used to cross-subsidise classes for older adults and those living with dementia across Scotland. As such, the Nest not only acts as a way to change perceptions of language learning, but as means to expand our social impact. It also means that any student joining our flock will not only gain from the benefits of language learning, but can feel good about having created a positive effect on society. Everyone’s a winner.
