About this Training Course The industry is surrounded with examples of poor Turnarounds, which have injured people and damaged businesses. If Turnarounds are not properly planned, managed and controlled, companies run the risks of serious safety and budget penalties, costly schedule delays and negative impacts on customers. As a consequence, operators are starting to explore Turnaround best practices and establish a more robust methodology. Turnarounds are the highest risk activity that we routinely perform in the industry, but they are also an area of massive variability in approach and outcome. Central to the variability is a lack of written methodologies and training - there are around 1,000 times as many books on maintenance as there are on turnaround management. All too often companies see Turnarounds as something to be survived and therefore it is no surprise that most Turnarounds fail. This 4 full-day course is based upon the Carcharodon 'Best of the Best' model of excellence for shutdown management with inputs from people who have done it from the trenches along with some of the world's most experienced shutdown specialists. All this experience has been condensed into a core methodology - our blueprint for success. It converts Turnarounds from a high-risk nuisance to a business opportunity. It has been used on multiple sites around the world, has been the basis of two books and is also supplemented by a roadmap for building and controlling a successful Turnaround. This is a certificate course where participants will have the option to participate for a short exam on the final day of the course to gain a Certificate in Advanced Turnaround, Shutdown & Outage Management from petroEDGE and the Academy of Turnarounds Operations and Maintenance. This ongoing field experience has helped him test and refine specialist training in a number of areas. He has been able to use his own experience to contribute with other maintenance specialists to the Carcharodon models of excellence. Its methodologies are recognised as 'Best of the Best' standards providing the inspiration for two books, projects that have won awards such as the prodigious UK Chemical Industries annual Excellence in Engineering award and form the basis of this training. Microfat and enriched nanofat graft transfer (also known as autologous fat transfer or lipoinjection), to the face and the neck is a minimally invasive, short-lasting procedure with rapid recovery, and can be done under local anaesthesia. Following completion of the procedure, the patient can return to the normal daily life activities. But firstly, we need to clearly explain what the terms microfat and nanofat grafts mean…. Microfat is defined a small-diameter fat particle and is used to improve the appearance of wrinkles, grooves and the lack of volume and sagginess of the skin of the face and neck, in response to the aging process. Similarly, nanofat, is referred to as the smallest diameter fat particle. The main advantage of the nanofat is that it contains cells that have the ability to differentiate in any type of body cell. Stem cells – as they are called- play a very important role in the process of rejuvenation, as they can differentiate into cells called fibroblasts which in turn produce collagen thus making the skin firmer and more youthful in appearance. The Course can be divided into two stages: 1. In the first stage, fat cells will be obtained from one or more parts of the body and are then purified and injected into the face and the neck. The doctor will identify an area in your body where the fat will be obtained from. This area is usually the flanks, but fat can also be obtained from other areas such as the abdomen, and the outer and inner thighs. You will be given enough local anaesthesia to numb the area where the fat will be harvested from. Then, a small-diameter cannula called microcannula connected to a special vacuum syringe will be gently introduced under the skin to obtain the fat. During this process, you should not feel any pain, the local anaesthetic will have made you numb. After the fat is harvested, it will contain a mixture of fat cells, blood, water, and local anaesthetic. Therefore, this fat will not be pure. This mixture of fat, blood, water and local anaesthetic will then become filtered into a special filtering and processing device whereby all the blood, water and local anaesthetic are being washed out, so that pure fat remains. This fat is then further processed by passing it through special filters whereby it becomes a smaller-sized fat particle known as microfat and nanofat graft. You need to be medically qualified as a doctor, dentist, nurse, pharmacist or paramedic with full governing body registration and have completed a Foundation Filler Course and to have administered a number of cases. He was responsible for the day-to-day supervision of all well intervention work on Shell's Persian/Arabian Gulf platforms. This included completion running, coil tubing, e-line, slickline, hydraulic workovers, well testing and stimulation operations. An office-based role as a senior well engineer followed. He was responsible for planning, programming and organising of all the well engineering and intervention work on a number of fields in the Middle East. He had a brief spell as a Site Representative for Santos in Australia before joining Petro-Canada as Completions Superintendent in Syria, then moved to Australia as Completions Operations Superintendent for Santos, before returning to Shell as Field Supervisor Completions and Well Interventions in Iraq where he carried out the first ever formal abandonment of a well in the Majnoon Field. While working on rotation, he regularly taught Completion Practices, Well Intervention, Well Integrity and Reporting & Planning courses all over the world. In 2014, he started to focus 100% on training and became the Technical Director for PetroEDGE.
