Course Description A practical course focusing on developing new and existing skills for those working on their President's Badge. Glasgow Battalion are planning to run 3 courses this session, please book a course that best suits your young person(s). Open to any BBUK Captain’s/ Leaders in charge who have fully completed the registration process. Safeguarding and Managing Risk e-learning modules must be completed prior to attending the training course. By the end of our time together you will be able to: Feel confident in your role as Captain or Leader-in-Charge. Recognise your responsibilities in creating a safe environment in the Company, including Safeguarding and Managing Risk. Know where to find the resources and support available to deliver quality youth and children’s work in the Company. Understand how to establish and maintain positive working relationships. Identify and manage the development and sustainability of the Company. Course Description Young people are required to participate in a practical course focusing on developing new and existing skills for work towards the King's Badge. The course is designed to help prepare and support the young person in an element of their King's Badge programme. Participants take part in problem solving, games and group activities. (Other courses are available through local Battalions). The cost is £9 per participant, you can pay by card while booking or select cash and we will invoice on receipt of entries. The venue for each of these courses is Battalion HQ.
The Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES) is usually a one-year pre-university qualification that provides students with an entry route to an overseas university. The L3IFDHES prepares students with the essential English language skills, key transferable study skills, cultural knowledge, and chosen specialisms that universities feel bridges the gap between high school and undergraduate study. In January 2023 we offer pathways in business and higher finance. With agreements in place with over 70 universities across the globe, students’ can progress with confidence to a higher education course for further study. Entry Requirements For entry onto the NCC Education Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES) qualification students must have successfully completed secondary school education. Students must also meet the English language entry requirements of: • IELTS minimum score of 4.5 or above OR • GCE ‘O’ Level English D7 or above Alternatively, a student can take the free NCC Education Higher English Placement Test which is administered by our Accredited Partner Centre’s.
