This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to work in an unsupervised capacity; planning, instructing and evaluating a safe and effective Pilates session.

This qualification is suitable for learners holding a Level 2 qualification in Gym Instruction or equivalent who wish to progress to a career as a professional Personal Trainer on an employed or self-employed basis. This qualification is mapped directly to: The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) professional standards for a Personal Trainer.

The qualification aims to equip the learner with the skills, knowledge and understanding required to plan and instruct programmes for exercise referral. Learners will cover: Skills relating to the qualification: Collect and analyse nutritional information and apply the principles of nutrition to a physical activity programme. Collect information about exercise referral patients and prepare patients and resources for exercise referral sessions. Instruct, adapt, conclude and review exercise referral sessions. Agree on goals, plan, manage, review progress and adapt an exercise referral programme with exercise referral patients.

By completing this qualification, learners will meet industry requirements to: - Plan, deliver and evaluate Pilates reformer sessions and programmes, including: - Pilates-based group reformer sessions (6+) - One-to-one Pilates reformer sessions and programmes

This qualification provides learners with knowledge and skills to apply reliable, evidence-based nutritional science and healthy eating recommendations. Learners will gain an understanding of nutritional science and their application to exercise, sport and athletic performance. This includes the limitations and risks of supplements and performance aids, and the importance of hydration for sports performance. Working within their scope of practice, learners will be able to support their clients in their understanding of the relevance of official guidelines to personal food preferences and needs, including for health and wellbeing, weight management and sports performance.

This qualification is aimed at individuals who want to work in management roles in the Active Leisure Sector. Learners will cover: Understanding the active leisure sector / Health, safety and welfare / Leading a team / Promoting customer care / Understanding employment rights and responsibilities / Financial procedures / Delivering objectives through the work of an active leisure team / Supervising facility maintenance / Marketing services and products to customers / Operating swimming pool plant

This qualification recognises the skills, knowledge and competence required of an individual in order to work in an unsupervised capacity, including the values and principles of adult social care and the ability to plan and deliver chair–based exercise to either disabled adults or frailer older adults.

The purpose of this qualification is to enable learners to develop the knowledge and skills so they can engage, facilitate, educate and support clients in a gym or health club environment. Completing this qualification allows learners to access Gym Instructor jobs.

This qualification is for those who wish to be able to plan and deliver safe and effective weight management programmes to members of the population with Obesity, Diabetes Mellitus and/or Metabolic Syndrome.

This qualification is aimed to give the individuals the skills and knowledge required to programme, supervise and induct a safe and effective programme for disabled clients.
