A half day course that looks at the implications of the recent NICE guideline changes to the management of hypertension. The course gives a brief introduction to the pathophysiology of hypertension and the ways in which it is investigated and treated.

Aimed at health care assistants working in General Practice who want to develop themselves and the wider team in the care and management of the patient with diabetes.

This session covers the legal aspects of documentation and record keeping in healthcare for Healthcare Assistants.

Following attendance, candidates will be able to record an ECG correctly and start to develop interpretation skills. The course includes supervised practice in recording a 12 lead ECG.

The course is for professionally registered staff involved in childhood vaccinations. The programme follows the current Public Health England Standards for Immunisation, Department of Health guidance on childhood immunisation and the Green Book.
