CSCS Cards In order to obtain your full CSCS/ CPCS card you will need to hold CPCS/ NPORS (or equivalent) trained operator or have achieved your category relevant level 2 plant NVQ prior to undertaking the ‘New Entrant – (S)NVQ held’ application route. The NVQ Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Construction Contracting Operations is appropriate for individuals who supervise and coordinate construction activities and are looking to become eligible for the Gold CSCS Card. You will follow one of the following pathways depending upon your job role: Buying, Design co-ordinating, Estimating, General, Planning, Site Technical Support Surveying. The NVQ Level 3 is designed to provide both new entrants and those seeking progression in their career, with the opportunity to develop the necessary skills to carry out job roles and responsibilities associated with the installation and maintenance of Electrotechnical systems. The EWR is for electricians who have been working in the industry for at least 5 years but have not formally completed an industry apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ qualification. Successful completion of the NVQ and AM2 assessment will satisfy the entry criteria for JIB accredited Gold Card status. Bear in mind that the C&G 2391-50 and 18th Edition courses are pre-requisites to the Experienced Worker route. This qualification is for tutors, trainers, or assessors, who are new into their role and looking for development of teaching, training and assessment skills. The qualification is made up of a range of units which can be adapted to any learning and development role, so, whether you are working with groups or individuals; delivering training in classrooms, in the workplace or online; planning training sessions or developing resources, units can be combined to suit your role and career objectives. This qualification is an expansion of the Level 3 Award in Education and Training qualification; it also contains the Assessor units for anyone looking to become a qualified assessor. This qualification is delivered though monthly workshops and mentoring visits from our Learning Advisor, who will support and advise you to develop your knowledge and skills in learning and development. You will also carry out self study and develop training sessions and materials. The course takes between 9-15 months to complete. The NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Curtain Wall is appropriate for individuals aged 16 and over working in the construction sector who specialise in the installation if Curtain Wall and Aluminium Architectural Glazing Systems and are looking to become eligible for the Blue CSCS Card. The aim of this qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence of individuals who specialise in this area and upon completion of the qualification, you will be awarded the NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Curtain Wall CSCS Cards Candidates can undertake the CSCS test and obtain the red (Provisional) CSCS card on signing up for this qualification. The red CSCS card can usually be obtained within 7 to 14 days and can be used to access the construction sites for a period of 12 months. In order for candidates to obtain their CSCS Card for Curtain Wall Installation they must also fulfil the requirements for technical knowledge as set out by the Council for Aluminium in Building and are generally required to complete CAB 1 day Curtain Wall essential knowledge training course.
