Having been actively involved in a variety of sports from an early age, my
passion for health and fitness soon led to a desire for a greater understanding
of the body and how it adapts. After studying Physical Education at A-Levels,
before graduating with a BSc. (Hons.) degree in Sport Science in 2000, I then
travelled to Australia for a year with the objective of challenging myself
further by throwing myself out of planes and scuba-diving to earn my respective
licences, white water rafting, surfing and generally anything else that got the
adrenaline pumping. When I returned in 2001 I moved over to Bristol, which I am
proud to call “home’ and I have now worked in the fitness industry for over ten
years. My training specialties lie in core control, strength training and
endurance training, all of which are crucial components in my own sports of
distance running (10km, cross country, half and full marathon), boxing, football
and, when I get time – surfing! As I always say; “Your body can do more than you
