Mentoring & advice We understand that making decisions about education and careers can be difficult and stressful. That’s why we’re always happy to offer students advice– especially those studying GCSE and A-Levels — to help them navigate subject and career options. Bespoke syllabus Like private schools, we have dedicated Subject Coordinators building our bespoke syllabus (fully aligned to the National Curriculum and major exam boards like AQA, OCR and Edexcel). This central control allows us to plan lessons for the entire year and cover everything students need to learn for exams. Assessment every 6 weeks After 5 weeks of learning a particular set of topics, students are tested on week 6 to assess how much they’ve learnt. The results show us where the student is successful, but also gives us an idea of where there is room for improvement so that we can reinforce those topics. Homework for every lesson Every student receives approximately 30 minutes worth of homework for each hour of tuition. We find it’s a good amount of work that will keep their brains stimulated outside of school & tuition, without being too stressful. Parent conferences Want regular updates about how your child is progressing? Every 12 weeks we organise a parent conference, allowing parents to catch up with tutors and ask any questions. Qualified & experienced tutors We only use UK qualified and experienced tutors that are either active/experienced school teachers, or industry professionals like trainee doctors, dentists and engineers that are currently working in their respective fields. Small classes Schools can overcrowd classrooms with 25-30 children at one go, making it difficult to give them individual attention. Our centre maintains an average of 6-8 students per class so that everyone gets the support they need to succeed.

We are aware that not all children will want to become the next Olympic Champion, but we believe every child should have the opportunity to learn to swim and be given the key swimming skills to enable them to reach their maximum potential. Diamond Swim Academy will provide swimmers with the skill set required as well as retaining the all-important element of fun. We are two families that have come together to form Diamond Swim Academy. We all met though swimming and were all National or International Swimmers. As ex swimmers we know what is required at a fundamental level to ensure that swimmers are given the correct skills and opportunity to reach their potential. We are proud to say we offer that individualised service at Diamond Swim Academy. We purposely do not run lessons back to back to enable a 10 minute break between lessons. We do this as we anticipate that children may take longer to get in/out or that a parent/guardian may want to talk to the teachers to discuss their childs/swimmers progress. The 10 minute gap ensures each lesson gets the full half hour of quality teaching. At Diamond Swim Academy we work closely with the National Governing Body of Swimming, The Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) and use the British Gas ASA Learn to Swim Pathway and complementary awards, as the basis of our lessons. The British Gas ASA Learn to Swim Pathway is the overarching programme for Learn to Swim. Within this pathway, Diamond Swim Academy use the ASA Foundation Framework, ASA Learn to Swim Framework and ASA Adult Framework. Diamond Swim Academy also add additional elements to each framework depending on the swimmers requirements. Swimmers will work towards achieving a set of outcomes that Diamond Swim Academy have set in conjunction with the ASA awards criteria, before progressing up through our lesson programme. Once a swimmer achieves a set of outcomes we like to recognise their achievement with the relevant award which is made up of a badge and a certificate. These can be purchased for a small additional cost. When swimmers join Diamond Swim Academy they will receive a membership pack containing information about what to expect when being part of Diamond Swim Academy. The information includes details about what the swimmer will strive to achieve, pathways they can progress along, awards they can achieve and events that we hold throughout the year.

The Green Light Driving School is a MTO certified driving school that is dedicated to teaching defensive driving tactics to teens and adults throughout the GTA in an environment where learning is enjoyable, timetables are flexible, and absolute customer satisfaction is a priority and guarantee. We give the required 20 hours in the classroom, as well as 10 hours of in-car training and 10 hours of homework. Our classes range from a large variety – from private driving classes, G2 and G lessons, online driving courses to many other driving school programs. If you are unable to attend a session, you can make it up at any time throughout the year. The Green Light Driving lessons are designed to help you pass you’re driving exam and get your driver's licence, and they cover defensive driving and parallel parking. Driver education training at Green Light Driving School must cover emergency techniques and ways to avoid the hazards of distracted driving. G1 licence holders who successfully complete the course may be eligible for a 4-month reduction in the 12-month minimum G1-licensing duration. Qualified Green Light Driving School graduates may potentially qualify for a reduction in insurance prices. Our G2 and G lessons run year-round.
