This course has been designed to ensure that it covers all the necessary elements to develop your theoretical knowledge and understanding of electrical science and underpinning principles of the electrical field but also to develop your practical installation skills. Where can I work upon completion of this programme?
Upon completion of the level 2 you can work within the trade whilst being supervised by a qualified worker, to work unsupervised, you are required to hold the level 3 diploma. By completing the Level 2 Diploma you will be able to continue to further your qualifications and complete the Level 3 and other awards.

Using the Monovette system in aspiration mode - correct use and applications.

4 - IR Vein Detector:
Demonstration of the IR vein detector for assisting in detection of difficult veins.
5 - Veins in back of hand:
Detecting suitable veins in the back of the hand.
6 - POC testing:
Point of Care Testing - use of glucose meter to demonstrate a typical POC test procedure. Correct use and overview of other POC test devices.
7 - Using lancets (finger collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for POC testing and whole blood micro-collection.
8 - Using lancets (heel collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for neonatal blood spot tests (Guthrie Test).
9 - Capillary collection
Using glass capillary tubes for micro-collection. Correct use and handling.
10 - Microtube collection
Correct use of BD Microtainers (and similar micro-collection bottles) - collection and handling.

Pre-requisites

To have a working knowledge of quality management systems and auditing within the relevant manufacturing sector
To have completed a hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) course of at least two days’ duration. If you need HACCP or HARA training, we propose various suitable courses. Have a browse at the website or get in touch for advice :)

It is designed to equip delegates with the knowledge of how to successfully implement the requirements of the Standard on site.
