When we slow down we give ourselves the opportunity to rejuvenate, to recharge and to harness our own life force energy or “Qi”. 
As we move towards winter we begin to turn inwards and connect to the power of Yin, the power of Water and the power of finding our own slow flow. In this 6 week course we will explore Qigong movements, meditations and breathwork practices to support this slowing down, giving us the space to connect to our Qi, to our subtle energy, giving us the tools to feel stronger, calmer and full of vitality.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine we are entering the water phase of winter. The water element relates to the organs of the bladder and kidneys, our bones, our ears and our sense of hearing. The meridians of Kidney and Bladder run along our spine and the back of the body and when they are flowing well we feel supported by life, grounded and connected to the world around us. We can find our inner flow with ease, without effort or strain, enabling us to let go of our fears and move forward with courage.

How do I attend?

EITHER -
CLASSROOM OPTION - Attend one of our scheduled classroom locations, completing your Introduction to Phlebotomy Course over 2 days. You will also complete your Advanced Training at the end of the first day and your Competency Training at the end of the second day.

Our Introduction to Phlebotomy and Advanced Phlebotomy Training Kits are supplied at no charge when booking our virtual classroom training option.
If you would like to add one or both of these kits to your classroom training option then these are available to add at time of booking. Our comprehensive training kits each mirror the same equipment and supplies used in the classroom and both include detailed video tutorials, allowing you to continue to practice and "hone" your skills after you have completed your practical training.

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OPTION- Complete your theory training online at home or work, then join us for a one day Zoom session to complete your Introduction to Phlebotomy virtual classroom training, followed by your Advanced Training in the evening of the same day. You have the option to add a classroom-based competency session, awarding a CPD Accredited Geopace Certificate of Competency, at time of booking.

Our Virtual Classroom option includes two very comprehensive training kits - one for your introductory course and one for your advanced course. How does all of this apply to you personally, your role as a spiritual director and your role in the formation of spiritual directors.
 These will be explored in relation to the ‘triangle model’ of relationships within spiritual direction – a model which helps to sharpen awareness of the multiple aspects of discernment that we need to pay attention to.
The programme will be experiential, involving small group work as well as plenary sessions. Participants will also be expected to take time to reflect and continue to work with their own process in between sessions.
By the end of the programme, participants can expect to:
be more aware of their own process and language of discernment
have greater awareness of how discernment is lived in spiritual direction and spiritual direction formation
be more secure in their role as a trainer enabling discerning processes
have clarity about ways in which this discerning stance can be developed in the course they are involved in

With a career that has spanned publishing, literary charities and bookselling, Carolyn May McGlone founded the May Literary Agency in 2024 with a focus on the power of creativity to change the world.
She is looking for children’s and young adult stories that encourage empathy and hope, which inspire and/or champion new and diverse perspectives, and which speak to your heart and soul.
Carolyn is not the right fit for books that have elements of crime, horror or sci-fi.
In one single word document, Carolyn would like you to submit a covering letter, a one page synopsis and the first three chapters or 5,000 words of your manuscript, whichever is shorter. For picture books, please submit a covering letter and up to three completed texts.
