WHAT IS THEATRE GYM? Theatre Gym is an acting school that teaches adult beginners. We run mainly acting classes but also some writing, puppetry and all things fun that are from the performance world. HOW WE TEACH We teach acting skills in a creative and playful way. Good actors can create characters, moments and atmospheres. Good actors enjoy what they do and play with stories and characters. We don’t have teachers with sticks that look at you with small eyes over their glasses. We have lovely people who are good actors who love helping other people. We want to see you enjoy the art of pretending to be someone else. WHO IS IT FOR? Most of our students have no experience or very little experience. Some of our students did some acting back in school, or took a few acting classes or an improv course and enjoyed it. Some of our students know they like acting and want to have it in their lives. Some want to try it for the first time to see if they like it. Some feel they need it to be more confident on stage and with people. Some are looking for a creative and playful spot in their week. A few of our students are performers who want to keep in shape.
