Located in the heart of London, Hermeneia exists to train Christians in their knowledge, understanding, study, and application of the Bible for their own spiritual maturity and for faithful ministry in the local church. This training includes equipping men for faithfulness in expository preaching as they learn how to prepare and deliver sermons. Our desire is to see the church in the U.K. strengthened as more Christians grow in their understanding and love for God's word. Read the Bible in 10 months and attend in-person lectures. Hermeneia’s Bible Survey course will help students begin to understand the Bible in its original context and, thus, be able to apply the Bible more accurately today.

Our intensive courses are designed to combine classroom study with 'real world' speaking opportunities.  Classroom Teaching (15 hours week) The classes are topic-based (money, healthcare, schools etc.) or deal with everyday English situations. All the grammar is introduced systematically and integrated with the situations and topics.   New structures are learnt through student-centred activities, with language targets practised through pair work and group work. Our teachers use a range of teaching materials, making use of internationally-recognised course books and work they have created themselves.   English in the Community (8 Hours) Your English in the community classes are structured around speaking and listening activities. Whenever possible, we find chances for you to speak with English people. One to one lessons to practise and improve your English skills with a native British English teacher with over 15 year of experience teaching in person and online lessons to individuals and groups.

All the grammar is introduced systematically and integrated with the situations and topics.   New structures are learnt through student-centred activities, with language targets practised through pair work and group work. Our teachers use a range of teaching materials, making use of internationally-recognised course books and work they have created themselves.   Supplementary exercises can be set as homework to further reinforce the work done in class.

B1 English ELR and SERU are mandatory requirement for those who are planning of applying PCO licence to the Transport For London (TFL) or renewal a licence, that prove that you meet the English language skills. On 1 October 2021, TFL changed how they assess London PHV driver’s English language skills and introduced a requirement for drivers to show an understanding of safety, equality and regulatory matters (the SERU assessment). Drivers must satisfy the ELR by taking and passing a new speaking and listening test and the SERU assessment is used to assess their reading and writing skills.  ABOUT THE COURSE: All new applicants for a London PHV driver’s licence and existing licensees who have not met the ELR, are required to take and pass both the speaking and listening test and the SERU assessment.
