Hello there By way of introduction, I'm a seasonal, 'British flowers only' florist and workshop facilitator.   Once upon another life, I worked in Law on behalf of asbestos victims and those suffering from occupational stress and PTSD, but I have always been a gardener. Nature and flowers were forever a refuge, and it was to those things that I returned when I wanted to escape the every day.   I also saw how being in their own green spaces became comforting to clients suffering from terminal pain and psychological illness.  Nature and their gardens held them, and it was with this in mind that I turned to British grown, seasonal flowers as a way of mindful, creative living.  Social and therapeutic horticulture is my passion, and so, too, is allowing flowers to be our wild remedy whenever we need it. My workshops are designed to allow you to reconnect with yourself mindfully as we explore seasonal flower design for wellness.  Together, we create with freshly grown flowers and foliage instinctively and intuitively, allowing our hearts to lead our design.  We work slowly, and in the moment. There is no rush; only a calm space which enables us to create with beautiful flowers comfortably, for our wellbeing. I hope you'll join me. Tracey @themindfulseasonalist.com

John Chilton School is a mixed Community Special School funded by Ealing Local Authority for pupils aged 4-19 years who may have moderate to severe learning difficulties as a primary need or as a dual diagnosis to their medical or physical needs. John Chilton School is unique in that the main part of the school is located within the all age Alec Reed Academy (ARA). This enables pupils form both schools to integrate and be included as needed. The Phase 2 department is temporarily placed at Wood End Academy in Greenford. John Chilton School has a bespoke building for three classes with additional facilities of a hall, therapy room, sensory room, cookery room and medical support. Specialist staff and therapists working across both sites linking them and ensuring the excellence of the whole school provision. The school building is fully accessible for pupils with disabilities. Facilities include a hydrotherapy pool, therapy suite, food technology rooms, sensory room and a medical room. There are dedicated playgrounds for pupils with a variety of outdoor toys and zones; a large part of these playgrounds has a safety surface. Our Animal Management Centre has specialist areas for large, small and exotic animals. These include snakes, spiders, ferrets, rabbits, birds of prey and many more! We also have a fully functioning farm with rare breed sheep and cows, pigs, goats, llamas, donkeys, chickens and ducks. If you’re looking to enter a career in a land- based industry, there is no better place than our college. We are widely recognised by industry specialists for our training excellence and many successes at RHS Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower Shows. Work from the college has been seen across the world! The indoor riding arena is one of the largest of any college in the country and we are home to a large, diverse range of animals in our Animal Management Centre. Other facilities include specially designed studios and workshops for floristry, garden design, horticulture and landscaping and access to an adjoining 18-hole golf course. Success rates are higher than the national benchmarks, and our tutors are experienced industry professionals. To help with the transition to college, we also have a comprehensive student support team that can assist with applications, securing funding, careers guidance and personal tutoring, and much more! Specialist resources and facilities On the 400-acre estate with woodlands, wetlands, livestock, gardens and grasslands, as well as a campus nursery, workshops and design studios. We also have football and rugby pitches, one of the largest indoor riding arenas of any college in the country and one of the top centres in the south east as well as two fully accredited cross-country courses and stabling for up to 40 horses! Our Woodlands Centre provides a safe and secure environment for learners with severe and complex, learning, social and communication difficulties that may also have a physical disability.
