Who we are and what we do Established in 1999, Surrey Lifelong Learning Partnership (SLLP) is a registered Charity. Each year we help between 600 and 800 people return to learn to gain new skills, qualifications and employment. We rely on a mix of income streams, including generating funds through our Bike Project social enterprise and securing grant funding for projects. Our vision: All within Surrey have the opportunity to re-engage in learning throughout their lives. Our mission: To work with partners to ensure that those, in Surrey and beyond, who have missed out on learning in the past, have opportunities to learn and to reach their full potential. What we offer: Opportunities for more people to learn by providing courses locally. Ongoing support so that they are able to continue on their learning journey. Approaches to learning which are more attractive and accessible. A shared understanding of local learning needs among education and training providers. A positive influence over the policies and planning to meet local learning needs and wants. Who do we support: Those living within disadvantaged communities in Surrey and other parts of the South-East. Adults (19+) of all ages who wish to develop new skills to gain employment, to improve their health or well-being, or to develop new interests. Welcome to the Fetal Medicine Foundation The Fetal Medicine Foundation is a Registered Charity that aims to improve the health of pregnant women and their babies through research and training in fetal medicine. The Foundation, with the support of an international group of experts, has introduced an educational programme both for healthcare professionals and parents and a series of certificates of competence in different aspects of fetal medicine. In the last 20 years, The Foundation has supported research and training in the following areas through grants to a total of more than £23 million: Early diagnosis of fetal abnormalities Screening for chromosomal defects Development of safer techniques for prenatal diagnosis Intrauterine fetal surgery Prediction and prevention of preeclampsia Prediction and prevention of preterm birth Prediction and prevention of stillbirth Prediction and management of fetal growth restriction Problems of multiple pregnancies In 2016/2017, the Fetal Medicine Foundation made a donation of £22 million to King’s College Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for investment in the Trust's Fetal Medicine services. Further information is available in the Trust’s Annual Accounts. The main source of income for The Fetal Medicine Foundation is The Fetal Medicine Centre.

Smarty’s After School Club has been in operation since January 2018 and is owned by Ruth Stoll and Bev Hague who have been providing nursery care to children since September 2009. Ruth has 15 years of nursery experience developing her qualifications and skills in that time. Ruth has a BA degree in Early Years Professional Practice. Ruth has a current paediatric first aid certificate, advanced safeguarding certificate, has attended the domestic violence awareness course, health & safety level 2, food hygiene level 2, promoting positive behaviour certificate, introduction to SENCO, attended the Early Language Development Programme and is about to undertake the Elklan course. Prof Venu Kavarthapu is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist interest in lower limb orthopaedics. He was appointed as a Consultant at King’s in 2006. He qualified at the AP University of Health Sciences in India, before completing his basic surgical and specialist registrar rotation training in the South East Thames Region. His sub-speciality training included a Minimally Invasive Hip Surgery Fellowship in Los Angeles and a Foot and Ankle Fellowship in London. Prof Kavarthapu was the orthopaedic member of the King's Diabetic Foot Team, which in 2007 won a prestigious Hospital Doctor Award. Prof Kavarthapu lectures at national and international conferences on diabetic foot surgery, trauma, hip arthroscopy, and primary and revision hip arthroplasty. He is also actively involved in research and has published several scientific articles on Trauma and Orthopaedics. Prof Kavarthapu’s other roles include Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London, lead clinician for the Orthopaedic department, and Orthopaedic Training Programme Director for SE London. He has been appointed Associate Professor at Odense University Hospital and University of Southern Denmark. He is also chairs the British Indian Clinical and Academic Partnership.
