At Dramatic we are ambitious to develop creative approaches to the health-related challenges our communities face. We're keen to develop new relationships, new work and expand our current projects reach. We are able to offer a complete design through to delivery service. Researching, devising, scripting, piloting and evaluating as per client requirements. Howard was born in Hull in 1946 and began training under Chee Soo in 1973. He has been an instructor of Tai Chi Chuan and Feng Shou Kung Fu since 1976 and is the holder of 7th Tengchi Master Graded in both Tai Chi and Feng Shou (Kung Fu) and 3rd Tengchi in Chi Shu. He lives with his wife, artist Gisela, in Holme On Spalding Moor, East Yorkshire. Howard’s early fascination for these arts soon grew into a life-time vocation, realizing that they went beyond a purely physical discipline, but was also a tool for self-development, spiritual growth, and a way of helping himself and others to achieve holistic health and well-being. Extremely proficient in the Feng Shou self defence arts, Howard nevertheless felt a special love for the various forms, K’ai Men and Dao Yin. In fact he is famous for being Chee Soo’s only instructor who practised the Tai Chi form every morning, with the exception of Christmas Day, for 15 years! (And he is still practising with an odd exception, on a daily basis! Chee Soo had hundreds, perhaps thousands of students who entered his training halls through the years, but in the end there were only four in the country who stayed long enough to gain the highest Master Grade Chee Soo issued in his life time. One of those students was Howard, respected by his peers as the foremost authority on the Lee Family Tai Chi form. Howard’s and Chee Soo’s friendship was legendary and it is a privilege for those who today train under Howard to be shown an art so ancient, taught as he was taught, undiluted by fads and fashions, imbued with love, enthusiasm, precision and quality. Chee Soo passed away in 1994. In order to safeguard the continuation of the Arts and their philosophy, Howard founded the East-West Taoist Association in 1999. The HEY LEP will represent the region’s private sector in conversations with Government on economic development and ensure the region’s influence is maintained at NP11, Northern Powerhouse and Transport for the North as well as looking for opportunities to collaborate on geographical or sector issues with other parts of the UK and Yorkshire. The LEP appointed its first Board members on March 31st 2021, made up of a diverse group of leaders from across local business and the health, education, rural and voluntary communities, who will now begin developing a new evidence-based local strategy. This strategy will identify the actions needed to boost productivity, provide long term jobs and secure inward investment and government support. The strategy will also focus on the key priorities for funding and the allocation of resources to those priorities, which are the most important to the economic wellbeing of the new LEP geography. The LEP will also be charged with using its convening powers to bring together partners from the private, public and other sectors, alongside collaborating with a wide-range of local partners to act as an informed and independent voice for Hull and East Yorkshire.

ONE VOICE IS A VOLUNTARY COMMUNITY GROUP WHICH WAS FORMED IN 2009 AND HAS CONTINUED TO THRIVE WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE COMMUNITIES OF IMMINGHAM, HABROUGH AND STALLINGBOROUGH. One Voice continues to support the community of Immingham Habrough and Stallingborough and continues to reflect on the most effective way to do this. When the group was formed in 2009 until 2019 it ran with a committee structure is built around what residents felt was needed to ensure the community as a whole was represented, Key partners sat on the committee with a number of representatives who have an area of focus within the community. However in 2019 the formal structure of a constituted group was dissolved and the group became a steering group for the Charity One Voice Immingham District who were gifted all the assets and agreed to continue the projects that were being done under the group. This decision was made following specialist advice and support which concluded that this was the most effective way for One Voice to continue their work. OUR ROLE Obtain and maintain a balanced, reflective and representative membership of the local community, by bringing together community members on a regular basis in order to address community issues of common concern. Develop lines of communication, structures and relationships with residents; service providers and other community organisations to ensure that agreed actions are taken forward for the betterment of the local area. To promote and contribute to the physical, social and economic regeneration of the community. OUR AIMS Reflect and represent the views of all community members, regardless of age, health sex, creed or religion, helping them to achieve the best possible quality of life. Raise awareness and inform community members of social developments. Work to raise and promote a positive profile of the area, reflecting and increasing the pride of those who live and work in the community. Secure better value for money through smarter investment, simplified delivery chains and high quality partnerships Identify and support ways in which to improve and protect both the local natural and built environment. Respond to new agendas and initiatives when necessary to reflect the short, medium and long term needs of the community.
