In this session, Jane Cattermole from Mainly Mental Health joins us as we explore some of the common myths and facts about menopause, how you can mitigate symptoms and how you can support those going through it.

Qualitative Face Fit Testing is a method for checking that a tight fitting facepiece matches an individual’s facial features and can provide an adequate seal to the wearer’s face. This Face Fit Train the Tester course will provide those who require it, the knowledge of how to conduct face fit testing using the Qualitative method. If you provide respiratory protective equipment (RPE) to your employees or are responsible for Health and Safety within your organisation, then it is essential that fit testing is carried out correctly and documentary evidence is recorded to demonstrate the RPE is suitable for the wearer and has passed a fit test. Please note: even though these training courses are referred to as "train the trainer" they are only to provide training to allow the attendees to conduct Qualitative face fit testing, not to enable them to teach the subject themselves. Aims The aim of the Face Fit Train the Tester course is to train people on how to conduct face fit testing so that they can carry out their own face fit tests to a high standard. Aimed at health care assistants working in General Practice who want to develop themselves and the wider team in the care and management of the patient with diabetes.

Our first aid at work training courses are in accordance with guidance provided by the Health & Safety executive (HSE) and are both fun and informative. This qualification should enable Learners to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of first aid situations. Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of first aider and include dynamic and realistic casualty simulation which puts the candidates through their paces. We hold the First Aid at Work course at our Education Centre in Ellesmere Port. We are also able to teach this course 'in-house' at our clients preferred site. Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training and be able to perform tasks at floor level. There are no other formal entry requirements but we strongly recommend that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

Our Level 3 Sports Massage courses will give you everything you need to become a Sports Massage Therapist in your own right and be able to practice straight away. To provide learners with the confidence, knowledge and skills required, to be able to provide a safe and professional treatment to a range of clients, helping in injury prevention, improving physical wellbeing and aiding the healing process of injuries.

Our Level 3 Sports Massage courses will give you everything you need to become a Sports Massage Therapist in your own right and be able to practice straight away. To provide learners with the confidence, knowledge and skills required, to be able to provide a safe and professional treatment to a range of clients, helping in injury prevention, improving physical wellbeing and aiding the healing process of injuries.

This course will equip non-registrants to allocate patients safely into face to face or telephone appointments, with an appropriate practitioner or service. The course will also equip non-registered staff to question for, recognise and allocate patients with urgent health needs.
