Our 6 hour Emergency First Aid at Work course gives the participant the knowledge, skills and confidence to deal with with first aid incidents in the work environment. Employers can book this course for their employees in the knowledge that they are fulfilling their duty to provide quality first aid training to their employees.
This course will start by giving you an overview of some of the common types and causes of learning disabilities, characteristics and behaviours and how they affect people. We will consider which learning & behavioural strategies are appropriate and how using a person centred approach to care will get the best results and ensure that needs of the individual are effectively met. We also discuss overcoming the stigma attached to learning disabilities

The visit will include an insight into the operations of the Active Cycles Programme and the potential to support further localised opportunities to get more people accessing affordable bikes. With more push on Active Travel and the benefits for the Environment too, we would really welcome discussions on how we can all do more as a sector. Tea, Coffee and Cakes will be provided but to help us with sustainability, we would welcome people to bring their own mug or travel cup, thus cutting down on plastic/paper cup waste and promoting re use. Diary invites will be issued as soon as we receive your completed registration.
