“As your loved ones age, their physical or mental wellbeing can change, often meaning they are unable to look after themselves independently. Here at Bosworth Homecare, we understand the emotion involved when support is needed, often when caring for someone begins to feel unmanageable. Our aim is to support individuals within the comfort of their home, prioritising independence, dignity and compassion. Building upon 25 years of experience, our family of 200 carers support around 400 clients, providing personal care, medication support, meal preparation, respite care, companionship and more. Everyone’s situation is different, so we are more than happy to arrange a free visit to see if we can help you.”

Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is first, and foremost, evidence-based. In-fact it is one of the few talking therapies that was developed from an evidence base, rather than theory-driven. A large family therapy centre discovered from carefully studying thousands of hours of talking therapy that there were reliable patterns of therapeutic conversation that allowed clients to actually move forward with therapy, improve their lives and not need to see a therapist anymore. Solution Focused Brief Therapy allows people to overcome difficulties and vastly improve their quality of life without dwelling on problems of the past. A Solution Focused Therapist won’t try to analyse or ‘diagnose’ your problems? Instead of looking for issues and problems, we are looking for skills and attributes that are already helpful. We’ll ask you about your best hopes. We’ll ask you about how you are managing in these difficult times? What would be different if your problem was gone? And what might be a small sign of progress? In this way, we can help our clients to facilitate lasting change, often remarkably quickly.
Published PoetIn 2021, I became a guest poetry facilitator with Derbyshire Writing School and I’m over the moon to be running such exciting workshops and courses with this wonderful family run creative business. I was invited on Episode 13 of their podcast to discuss how to begin with poetry. You can listen back here: PODCAST I have been commissioned by Shottle Hall to write a love poem for their wedding magazine and by Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site to highlight overlooked women’s stories in Derby history. You can watch the video for Tales of Derby Women Past below. I’m currently working on my second poetry collection which explores my journey with chronic illness. When I’m not writing, you can find me drinking tea and dabbling in a few different books with a bag of snacks in hand. If you would like to book me for a performance, as a facilitator or commission me to write a poem, please get in touch.
