This 6 to 7 day programme is for you if you are interested in working in the expanding job market of the security sector and includes gaining the Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry Award level 2 Once you have gained this award, you can then go on to register as a Door Supervisor and purchase your SIA badge and license. The programme includes a wide range of learning opportunities that support you by achieving nationally recognised qualifications including health safety, equality diversity, conflict resolution as well as employability and interview skills to support your future career. What You’ll Learn You will undertake the following units: Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Working within the Private Security Industry Conflict Management within the Private Security Industry Physical Intervention Skills within the Private Security Industry Entry Requirements Must be 19 and over before August. Must be unemployed and looking for work. Must have a clean DBS How you will be assessed Your knowledge and understanding will be assessed using the assessment methods. Where possible your assessor will integrate knowledge outcomes into practical observations through oral questioning.

This qualification is ideal for those already working, or preparing to work within industry wishing to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982. Topics within this qualification are regarded by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) as being important in maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective treatment of injuries and ill health in the workplace. How long will it take me to achieve this qualification? This is a 1 credit qualification, with a guided learning hour’s value of 8 and it has a minimum contact time of 6 hours, which is typically delivered via a 1 day course. How is the qualification assessed? Learners must undertake a practical assessment of their competence along with a short open response knowledge assessment, where learners are required to provide a short response to a prescribed series of questions. What next? In line with guidance provided by the HSE, the qualification supports/approves work place emergency first aiders for a period of 3 years, after which point learners will need to retake the course. Black CSCS Card NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice This qualification is aimed at health and safety managers who are responsible for developing and applying health and safety procedures day-to-day in their organisation.
