Our rather awesome bass course return with a seven session run falling on alternate Saturdays.  You'll learn basic technique from how to move your fingers, play your first arpeggios, accompany a band, play your first classic bass riffs and of course, execute the perfect bass face.  You don't even need a bass guitar to join. A regular six string guitar will do, and, once we've got you addicted to the groove, you can go out and buy your self a Rickenbacker.

Bespoke bass guitar and music theory & harmony lessons for young students and adults in a friendly environment by a professional bass player. Whether you're a Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced player, I can give you the proper tools to take your bass playing to the next level. I provide tailored lessons to the individual that are specifically designed to enhance the right skills and to help you achieve your goals as a player and a musician. The Guitar Social has a recording studio and its yours to use for free (if you're a member)  We've built it to be as simple as possible to operate and in this 90 minute session you'll learn alll you need to know about which dials do what and where to point your guitar to get the best sound.  Anyone with a membership is welcome, but this induction goes well with our song writing course, or for anyone taking part in our live lounge events. 

Improvers: Addressing the bit between just getting it & getting good at it - where we jam improver level songs with learning your first barre chords and scales and starting to get to grips with musical theory snuck into the jamming fun An improver player is someone who can play open chords, read tab and chord boxes and feels fairly comfortable playing a few songs and changing between chords. WALTERS WORLD OF MUSIC SCHOOL. Piano Violin Classical Guitar Lessons for all ages and levels.

Super fun, interactive educational baby and toddler music classes with live guitar. Independently run by mother and son, Tin Pan Annie Music have been the award winning proividers of pre-school music classes in South London for nearly 30 Years. Classes are carefully written and designed to super-charge all the developmental and social skills that participating in a live music class can bring. Young children react in such a positive way to live acoustic guitar accompaniment when their world is so full of so much pre-recorded sound. Expect lots of familiar songs and Tin Pan Harry originals, written to introduce children to the shape, timbre, dynamics and rhythm of music which are so important in the development of language and speech. As well as joining in by clapping, dancing and swaying, the children also participate with rhythm sticks, percussion, and silly scarves, Lots of bright colourful props and puppets appear from Tin Pan Annie’s toy box to bring each week’s theme to life, concentration and memory skills develops and their imagination soars. Classes are the highlight of your child's week and often the grown ups too.

 Writing a song is quite often as simple as taking a look around, either at the external, or taking a look within at the internal, putting pen to paper, and then leaning on some tried and tested song forms. And, with over 100 years of popular music to explore there's an awful lot of reference material to help us along the way.  The road has already been paved for us, we just have to follow it.  In each session you'll be exploring unique exercises to foster authentic lyric writing whilst exploring key song forms and common music writing devices. You'll then have opportunity to take it further by attending supporting events such as our confidence inspiring Live Lounge Support Room where you can develop your stage craft ahead of our performance event, Live Lounge. Your creativity doesn't need to stop there, either. As a Guitar Social member you have access to our studio and rehearsal facility where you can record your work.  All of this makes The Guitar Social song writing program like no other, and I can't wait to have you take part.  Oh, and bring a pen.
