This qualification is designed for learners aged pre-16 and above who wish to develop skills and knowledge in cake decorating. This course has been designed to be as affordable for families as possible and it is entirely possible to complete this qualification from a standard domestic kitchen. Please note, this is not a GCSE but is a GCSE Level course which is why it is designed to span 2 years, although we offer complete flexibility on the timeframe that learners can complete within. This qualification is a Level 2 Qualification and is Ofqual approved carrying 15 credits. Other examples of Level 2 qualifications are BTEC Level 2 and the Silver Arts Award. Feedback from our past learners shows that this qualiifcation is widely regarded as level to a grade A*-C/4-9 at GCSE standard when applying for college or work placements. Please also note, that whether this course is recognised as a GCSE equivalent by colleges and further education establishments, can vary according to location, college and even between courses at the same college. If reliant on this qualification for entry onto another course, it is recommended that you establish with the college whether or not this will aid admission, before committing to the course. Distance learning GCSE Level Cookery course for Home Educators

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training AET (formerly known as PTLLS) is an introductory, knowledge based teaching qualification. It can be undertaken by individuals who are not yet in a teaching or training role (pre-service), or are currently teaching or training (in-service). This qualification is delivered on our online or classroom based learning platform with full tutor support throughout the course.

This qualification is intended for those who lead a team of IQA’s and maintain the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre. Learners undertaking this qualification will be able to understand the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment and internally assure the quality of assessment. They will be able to plan and prepare activities to monitor the quality assurance team and allocate work as required. Learners will achieve 17 credits across 3 units: Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment Internally assure the quality of assessment Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility

Level 4 CET course is a first stage teaching qualification which has a teaching/training practice requirement. This qualification designed for those working or wishing to work as teachers/trainers. Formerly this courses was known as CTLLS. Candidates who successfully complete this qualification will have a fundamental understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer in relation to legislation, equality, diversity, inclusivity and meeting the needs of learners. They will be able to use initial and diagnostic assessments and plan and deliver inclusive teaching and learning. They will also be able to assess learning and use appropriate resources to support effective learning.
