Cheshire Mersey Wine School - Day Classes

cheshire mersey wine school - day classes

Local Wine School is a professional wine education network with centres at over 40 locations across the country. Established in 1999, the group is now the UK's largest network of WSET-approved wine educators, and is trusted to deliver by some of the best-known and well-respected names in the hospitality industry. A detailed knowledge of soil types and winemaking is not necessary to sell wine – but a little knowledge can generate confidence and enthusiasm which has a major impact on sales. We are independent, we don't sell wine, we are full-time professional educators – we don't do anything else. We can guide you through the choice of wine training available from Introductory to Advanced Levels, including WSET Courses from Level 1 to Level 3, as well as bespoke training designed to suit your needs. WSET qualifications are now a 'must have' for anybody seriously considering a career in a wine related industry and our WSET-accredited tutors have some of the highest pass rates in the country. If you can answer yes to any of these six questions - we also know that we can help you! Do you sell more wine from the low-value end of your range than you would like? Would you like your staff to have confidence in recommending wines to match your food? Do you find your customers increasingly know more about wine than your own staff? Do you have to train new staff who have limited experience selling wine? Are your staff keen to acquire formal qualifications? Do you feel you need to offer career support to attract and retain the best quality staff?

Worcester

The Christian Coach and Mentor Network is a digital hub for Christian mentoring and coaching in the UK. We are passionate about Christian mentoring and coaching, about overall consistency in the work that is offered from Christian mentors and coaches, and about the Christian community working together to provide a valuable and worthwhile service to those seeking a Christian mentor or coach. The pressures of Christian ministry demands a wide range of gifts, skills and a depth of spirituality. As demanding as this is, many have also found themselves isolated and have been looking for mentors and coaches to travel with them. Those who have found mentors and coaches testify to the impact on their life and leadership, but many struggle to find a mentor or coach, often not knowing who to ask or where to go. The Christian Coach and Mentor Network is a project under Chapel House Ministries, a space of unhurried encouragement, good food, laughter, honesty, passion, and (in the words of a recent visitor) “the finest puddings in all the ‘Shire.” Our team includes the trustees of Chapel House, a leadership team and an operations team. You can meet us here Our website provides access to Christian coaches and mentors for anyone looking for this support in the UK with categories for youth, church leadership and general mentoring. We also provide a central hub for training, resources. local support and supervision. In the future we are planning regional and national events to support coaches and mentors across the UK plus more resources including webinars and training to ensure the standard of coaching and mentoring in the Christian world is as high as possible.

Whitechapel Community Project

London

We are a volunteer led work with very few staff, but this does not mean we are a small organization. We can see as many as 300 people a day, looking for our assistance. We remain open every day Our impact remains high We can do this for a fraction of the cost of other day centres. We do this without any statutory funding. We recognize the true strength of our volunteers. And we recognize the value of everybody coming through our doors. First, we help people by meeting immediate needs: food, shelter, clothing, and medical care. In our recovery programs, we address deeper needs for life-skills and job-skills training, and addiction recovery. We measure our progress against four criteria, which indicate to us that a life has been transformed from homelessness to hope: connection to family, commitment to sobriety, a job and a place to live, and a plan for the future. Today, The Whitechapel Mission is a results-oriented organization that is recognized as one of London's most effective. Our Purpose The Whitechapel Mission is called to serve the men and women caught in the cycles of poverty, hopelessness and dependencies of many kinds, and to see their lives transformed to hope, joy and lasting productivity. Our Goal To be the most effective provider of compassionate care and life transformation for hurting people in London. We promote the concept of being part of the Mission and taking ownership of the Mission. Any and all who come are welcome. The services we offer are built upon trust and belonging. We are an inclusion centre rather than an exclusion centre. SERVICES WE OFFER

Education Poland

It is always good to understand certain aspects of country’s culture and customs before going there. You will avoid being surprized or embarassed in that way. Here are the most interesting Polish customs which is good to be familiar with: Curious people Polish people are very curious towards international visitors. They are very much interested in different cultures, however if you only look back – nothing has happened 😉 Shaking hands It is very Polish to shake hands when you introduce yourself. YOu do it always with your right, bare hand. It is considered impolite if you do it in a glove. Keeping an eye contact When speaking to someone, keep an eye contact for most of the time. It is not necessary to keep it all the time. If you do not, you might not get what you want. Personal questions It is quite common in Poland to be asked questions which are often considered as private. As Poles are curious people, they like to get into little details, so do not forget to be assertive. Meal schedule Food in Poland is often fat and served with meat. Soups are very popular and offer a great variety of types & tastes. Typically in Poland people eat 3 times a day. Bruderszaft It is a fraternal toast, after which Polish people start to address each other with first names, and declining it can be seen as an insult. Relationships become more cordial after this little ceremony. Bruderszaft is two people raising toasts simultaneously with arms interlocked and drinking. The last part is an exchange of kisses and a handshake.

Havana Salsa Birmingham

Havana Salsa was established in the UK over 10 years ago to introduce the wonderful dance of Cuban Salsa into many lives. Not only the Cuban Salsa dance, but the Cuban culture, food, music and the Spanish language. We eat, live, breath Cuban Salsa! Cuban Salsa was derived from an earlier dance form known as ‘Son’ and other popular social dances as well as mambo and cha cha cha . The Cuban style developed into a very relaxed, passionate and expressive style where your personality gets to shine as much as your dance steps. It’s been danced since the 50’s and all started in Havana, the capital city of Cuba . Fun, passion and enjoyment are a major part of our Cuban Salsa classes and social events in Leicester, Nuneaton, Coventry, Derbyshire and Birmingham. Cuban Salsa is very much alive in the heart of the Midlands with Havana Salsa! Rodolfo and his wife Laura, and their team of trained instructors from across the globe have teamed up to bring the addictive Cuban Salsa to many people of all ages. With weekly Cuban Salsa classes in many cities across the midlands are fun and full of energetic content accompanied by great music and great people. Anybody can join the classes from absolute beginner’s right up to advance dancers. No partners are needed, just bring your enthusiasm to take on a beautiful dance. We have one passion… whether it is via one of our weekly Cuban Salsa classes across the Midlands , or our regular fiestas (social dance parties) and workshops; we hope to share that passion with you.
