P402 Surveying and sampling strategies for asbestos in buildings is the industry standard qualification for asbestos surveyors. In addition to holding the qualification, asbestos surveyors are required to undertake and provide evidence of annual refresher training. Previously, BOHS provided two Refresher courses for this purpose: P402RM (Management) and P402RRD (Refurbishment and Demolition). This new course, RP402 Refresher - Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings, replaces P402RM and P402RRD. RP402 Refresher enables candidates to revise and update their knowledge on all types of asbestos surveys, and to receive a certificate of course completion by passing a written examination, which covers both the theory and practice of surveying for asbestos in buildings.

To be able to provide First Aid in the workplace, as identified by the workplace risk assessment, and to a standard recognised by the HSE. This course is designed for people who want to receive our most thorough first aid training.

When there is a shooting, stabbing or bomb explosion the initial priority will be public safety. This can delay the time before the emergency services are able to reach the injured. Our 3 hour citizenAID course enables the general public to be effective in these situations before the emergency services are available to provide professional medical support. Be able to provide immediate first aid to an unresponsive casualty who is breathing. Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with severe external bleeding. Who should attend? This qualification is for all members of the public who wish to learn lifesaving skills and techniques in the event of a deliberate multiple casualty incident. Pre-requisites Students must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training. Assessment and Certifications Assessment of this course is continuous and will take place through knowledge and skills observations. Successful students will receive an Immerse Training Certificate, which is valid for three years. This certificate will be issued by Qualsafe, the awarding body for Immerse Training.
