This is intended for delegates who already hold a high risk (full Breathing apparatus) qualification such as our CS2. Note: A pre-requisite qualification is required to complete this course. The IOSH Managing Safelyaward is valid for three years. Award-holders need to undertake this one-day refresher programme every three years in order to maintain their status. This very interactive, practical programme covers: An interactive case study exercise is used throughout the day to apply refreshed knowledge to the plan-do-check-act model and then link it back to the workplace. For example, participants examine the elements of a safety and health policy, come up with ideas to influence safety culture, and select the best communication methods to engage a workforce.

Our basic security training covers laws and regulations governing security officer practices and procedures within the State of Georgia. Students learn basic case management, report writing, maintaining a good relationship with law enforcement, and surveillance methods. We also cover laws, regulations, ethics, and investigative tools and techniques. In the firearms portion, students will gain an understanding of how to use a handgun to control a confrontation with a criminal. Students will learn appropriate tactics and decision-making skills to use while armed, under stress, and in the midst of a confrontation. Students must be able to handle a pistol safely and hit a silhouette target at 7 yards. Trained officers will then be certified and licensed with the state to work for a business or agency. *While this course can be completed online, students must be able to visit the academy to satisfy the range requirements of the certification.

This course provides the theory, practical knowledge and skills required for use of microscopes and fibre counting to WHO rules, air sampling and four-stage clearance procedures. The course is based around 'HSG248 Asbestos: The Analysts Guide for Sampling, Analysis and Clearance Procedures'.
