This is a gateway course for all further learning in FD&FA systems.

The course is suitable for those employees who may need more information regarding fire safety due to the nature of their roles. It is also a requirement under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 that all key employees should receive training in what to do in the event of fire.

The QA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (RQF) qualification is ideal for businesses that have assigned personnel with specific fire safety responsibilities such as fire wardens or fire marshals in the workplace.

This course will develop knowledge from the FD&FA foundation BS 5839-1 module and/or industry experience and apply this to the design of FD&FA systems.

Delegates will develop knowledge of the requirements for the design, installation and commissioning of Fire Detection and Fire Alarm systems within domestic properties in compliance with the requirements of BS 5839-6 and other codes of practice.

At the end of the 5 days, Learners will attain an RQF Award in the requirements of FD&FA systems for non-domestic buildings BS 5839-1: 2017.

This course provides the basic requirements for auditing IFD&FA systems to BS 5839-1 to certification bodies' standards. The course enables certified contractors to conduct objective auditing of their own systems.

The aim of this course is to provide the learners with the information they need to be a fire warden in their work place, it covers all aspects of the role.
