At EarthCraftuk we have over 12 years experience delivering a variety of nature based programmes including: Forest School Leader Training, Woodland Skills Continued Professional Development Workshops, school visits, youth accredited engagement programmes and experiential Forest School programmes; witnessing first-hand the transformational effects experiences in the natural world can have on the physical and mental health and wellbeing of all participants, and the fulfilling career paths it can often open up for adult participants. At a time when we on average spend 90% of our time indoors, our work at Earthcraftuk is driven by the evidenced impact of being in nature. Green spaces promote physical activity, social interaction, exposure to sunlight and reduced pollution, which all boost health in various ways, including reduced levels of stress and anxiety, aided sleep and a feeling of connectedness with the world, and one another. We have trained over 400 participants on Forest School qualification programmes; worked with a number of community groups; supported school and youth experiential and accredited programmes and also developed a Campfire Management Award for Kent County Council and now also working with Veterans on our Health & Wellbeing programme called Veteran Trees We are very grateful to use stunning private woodland owned by the Dawes family of Mount Ephraim Gardens – a philanthropic family who support our mission.

The Values Foundation For Faith And Families In Education

the values foundation for faith and families in education

London

In the United Kingdom various providers have always been able to run their own schools, whether via the maintained or independent sector. This has enabled many faith and other groups to establish and run schools which appeal to different cohorts throughout the country. In England, all schools registered with the Department for Education need to comply with regulations and guidelines which are based on legislation and current educational thinking. Schools are inspected and regulated by Ofsted – a non-ministerial department of the UK Government. Since the 2010 Equalities Act, and more recently the Children and Social Work Act 2018, the Department for Education has revised their regulations and guidelines in such a way that challenges foundational religious beliefs and traditional family values. It is very clear that Ofsted and the Department for Education are focused on promoting an agenda whereby “all protected characteristics are equal, but some characteristics are more equal than others”. Simultaneously there has been a calculated and concerted effort by secular humanist organisations to not only investigate and undermine practices in faith schools, but to attack the bedrocks of convention and belief that are the cornerstones of schools who promote faith and traditional family structures. The current challenges in education threaten human rights including the freedom of parents to choose the education they wish for their child.

Swimming lessons in Norfolk. Small fun groups for babies, toddler, under 4's and school age swimmers plus Private tuition for Adults & ChildrenAbout us… AQUAnimals Swim School is predominantly a family run business that oozes passion for teaching children to swim. AQUAnimals founder Shirley Rush started the swim school back in 2015. The swim school was hiring private pools around South Norfolk and welcomed her sister Katie to offer more lessons but found more and more that availability was limited, pools varied in cost, depth/temperature/parking availability etc yet our demand was incredibly high. In 2017 we decided to start looking for another venue that could occupy a modern, fresh swim school. We found Rookery Business Park just a mile outside Attleborough. Not only were these new well insulated buildings with solar panels supplying power, it has easy access to the A11 and pretty central for most of our existing clients. Shirley drew a sketch of the layout she felt would work and architects brought it to life in literally an hour & a half! With plans in hand and a leap of faith we applied to Breckland Council and we were a step closer to freedom! Planning permission was granted just 5 weeks after submission and 3 days later we were in the building marking the floors with what would be our changing rooms & showers! Our very own premises, state of the art pool, purpose built and all brand new. We worked really hard and were so excited to be bring lessons to life on 18th September 2017. Three months after sitting with the architect. We’ve expanded hugely since 2017; a 400% increase in numbers, we now have 7 instructors teaching 7 days a week, we provide the curriculum swimming lesson provision for four local schools, became an approved Training Centre so we can host courses & CPDs, hire the pool privately for exclusive use, holiday courses etc. And we love it! Come and join us today, make magical moments, enhance their development and learn lifesaving skills that will last forever. Simply put, swimming with AQUAnimals gives your children the opportunity to learn essential developmental and safety skills for life.
