Founded in 2006, Real Chinese Academy has been working towards all-around “student development, teacher development and school development”, upholding the principle of “quality-first”, and implementing the philosophy of integrating cultural awareness into language learning. In the past decade or so, we have enabled many students to acquire a broad knowledge of Chinese culture, and practical skills of using the Chinese language. At the same time, our team of dedicated teachers have raised their professionalism to a new level. Real Chinese Academy is going from strength to strength. To ensure high-quality teaching results, we group students based on their age, level of Chinese language and family background (native/non-native Chinese speaker). All teachers utilise multimedia method and self-designed entertaining materials to facilitate teaching and enhance students’ achievements. Wechat and WhatsApp chat groups for parents are created to strengthen parent-teacher communications. At the same time, we hold regular parents meetings to discuss students’ progress at school while listening to parents’ feedbacks. Besides Chinese language teaching, we are honoured to have a world-class renowned artist, Mr. Sheng Qi, to lead our Visual arts course. In addition, English actress Helen Hobson teaches our Public Speaking course, and dozens of students have achieved excellent results in LAMDA exams which lay the foundation for all-round development of students. Headmistress Ms. Zoe Xu, originally from Beijing, is a mother of two. She is well versed in the comparative research of Chinese and British education as well as family education. In the last two decades, she has written books related to education such as Please Don’t Do This to Your Children, Chinese Orphans and Their Foreign Parents, Alternative Route to Development, Ten Skills That Affect Your Child’s Fortune. All the titles are published in mainland China. Real Chinese is growing! From only six pupils at the very beginning for Mandarin only, we’ve grown to be two hundred strong. Every year some of our students take GCSE Chinese and each of them achieved A* grade. Real Chinese have developed from simple teaching to a broader field of education. The school has found a successful way of managing the Chinese language education as the core while valuing all-around education. The road ahead will be long and rugged, yet we shall search high and low, for the benefit of the community and the promotion of the Chinese language and culture.

An exclusive and independent rehab centre for the treatment of addictions and associated mental health issues The Haynes Clinic is a private rehabilitation centre for the treatment of alcohol, gambling and drug addiction. Drug addiction encompasses all so-called ‘recreational’ drugs (cocaine, ketamin, GBL, GHB, heroin and cannabis, for example). It also includes prescription medication for those with concerns about their use of drugs such as codeine, diazepam and other benzodiazepines, pregabalin, gabapentin and sleeping tablets. The centre provides detox and counselling with a view to you becoming entirely abstinent from alcohol and drugs. The counselling will also cover how to deal with stress, anxiety and depression – feelings that are often associated with addiction and other compulsive behaviours. Most of the rehab treatment is focused around group therapy as this has been proven to be most effective in helping addicts and alcoholics into recovery. There will also be some one to one counselling to cover individual goals and anything of particular sensitivity. All clients at The Haynes Clinic will have a consultation with our consultant psychiatrist on admission. She will prescribe any detox medication required and oversee your medical needs during your stay. Your stay here can be entirely private without it being revealed to your own GP and being on your medical notes – or we can liaise with your GP if you prefer. If we need to be in touch with your GP – or any other professional outside the confines of the treatment centre – this will always be with your consent. We also involve your family and those closest to you in your treatment. We ask the people who care about you to tell us about your behaviour and how it has affected them. We also offer them family counselling if they need support as a result of your addiction. The treatment centre is located in a tranquil, rural setting in Bedfordshire. We aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible while getting you well. All clients at the centre have their own bedrooms in a home comfort setting. Some have en suite facilities. All are good sized well appointed rooms with a double bed. We take account of your choices when ordering in the food for your stay though once you are feeling physically better, your rehab experience will include taking on responsibilities such as helping to prepare meals and keeping your environment clean and tidy. Some people need to relearn these skills; others can share their experience, helping their peers to learn – which itself boosts self-esteem.

Aya Aromas was founded in 2020 in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. We (Georgette & Sophinne) are sisters who both share an obsessive love for ethical home scents that are reminiscent of good times. We developed our scent range around childhood memories growing up in the UK and through family trips around Europe and Ghana. Aya is an Adinkra symbol in Ghana meaning resourcefulness and endurance represented as a fern and was used as a symbol of hope throughout the pandemic. The fern artwork in our packaging represents the Adinkra symbol and our commitment to being an eco-friendly brand. We are 100% environmentally friendly, vegan and sustainable and with our rebrand decided to plant a tree with every order as we believe climate action is everyone's responsibility. Sir Martin has spent much of his career in China and Hong Kong. His commitment to international relationships has been a constant feature of his work. Sir Martin is an independent non-executive director of the House of Fraser Group and a board advisor to a number of China and education related businesses. He is also chair of International Inspiration, the sport for development charity which sprang from the London 2012 Olympics and vice chair of Leonard Cheshire Disability, the UK’s leading disability charity. Sir Martin lives with his family in Dorset and is a trustee of the Dorset Community Foundation. Sir Martin was knighted in 2014 for his services to British cultural, scientific and educational interests worldwide.

Without help, they have to represent themselves while they go through a divorce, seek custody of their children, defend or put forward a personal injury claim or face eviction from their home. They are forced to navigate a complex legal system alone, often against the professional legal representation of the other party. The increase in cuts to legal aid over recent years has meant that thousands more people face the civil or family courts alone. Their access to justice is limited by how overwhelming the legal system can be to those who have never faced it before, and many struggle to represent themselves effectively in court. We offer support and guidance before, during, and after court. We ensure that those facing court alone feel prepared and supported in accessing justice. Over the next five years we've got big plans to help even more people facing court without representation. We’ll use technology to connect with more people, in more places, more cost effectively. We'll invest in recruiting and training more volunteers to empower people dealing with the stressful navigation of the court process. And we’ll continue to ensure that clients are at the heart of all we do, so they know they’re not alone.
