Family First Aid Classes for Parents and Carers

To prove to myself and others that I could shine in the exciting world of airline travel, I joined Thomas Cook Airlines in 2006. Training came to me as a sideways step in 2009, within my quest to increase my knowledge of the workings of the airline. Building on my initial experience, training became the main part of my role, as I enjoyed both the interaction with the trainees and the opportunity to pass on skills and knowledge. During my 11 years as a trainer with Thomas Cook, I logged over 3500 hours in the classroom, with over 1500 students, including both cabin crew and pilots. That does not include the hundreds of hours of training that took place during flights, to and from destinations all over the world. I subsequently went on to spend 4 years as a guest speaker, as part of Sheffield College's aviation department, all whilst still flying with Thomas Cook Airlines.

First-Aid-Solutions has been set up to provide first aid skills to anyone who wishes to learn them. As a Trainer and a qualified nurse, teacher and assessor, I have been teaching first aid for a number of years, within a well known charity first aid provider and private businesses within Surrey and the South East.

Classes are relaxed, fun and practical and will give you hands-on training for a variety of situations where time can make all the difference. You can chose to come to our venue class, or arrange a class in your home and we’ll come to you! Classes include training for burns, bleeding, fevers, choking, resuscitation, CPR and much more, suitable for parents/grandparents/friends & family give you the skills & confidence to act fast in an emergency babies under 12 months welcome classes in your own home for groups of 4+ evenings & weekends available £25 per person Our classes are great to do if you are expecting your baby, either as a couple, NCT group or with family and friends – the class is suitable during pregnancy. Equally, if you haven’t managed to do it before baby (or you have older babies that you are about to start weaning – or even toddlers that are starting to wonder into dangerous situations) then the class is still a great thing to do. Our baby first aid class will leave you feeling empowered and and prepared.

In 2014 Jenni (a mum of 3) was sitting in a coffee shop chatting with a friend when her friend’s daughter choked, being an advanced first aider, Jenni knew just what to do. She quickly stepped in and successfully removed the blockage and the little girl recovered perfectly. It was this moment that she realised then that first aid was not something regularly offered to new parents and that so many parents didn’t have basic first aid skills that could so easily save their child’s life. When researching suitable first aid training classes she found that parents were restricted to longer certified classes aimed at the corporate market who often showed frightening videos and told distressing stories. Jenni felt she wanted to educate parents in a way that made them feel happy, confident and empowered rather than terrified and intimidated. Jenni has grown her business from table top to a being multi-award winning franchise with trainers running their own successful Daisy businesses UK wide. She is considered a paediatric first aid expert. She has featured in numerous publications, has a huge celebrity parents portfolio and volunteers her time at many national charity events.
