May Chan, aka InkJoyGraphy, a Chinese calligrapher based in the UK. She has dedicated more than 20 years in writing Chinese calligraphy. She completed a diploma in Chinese calligraphy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011. She held exhibitions and won numerous awards for her calligraphy art pieces at her teenage years in Hong Kong. She provides face-to-face / online calligraphy classes and workshops while also running an Etsy shop offering custom artworks. She believes that Chinese calligraphy is not just a hobby, but a way of life! It is a traditional Chinese culture which merits and values should be appreciated and she strongly promotes this in her teaching.

Hi I'm Lauren, Designer, Maker and Founder of Lauren Holloway - Sustainable Bags & Accessories handmade in Bristol. My journey started in 2013 when I dug out a dusty vintage Singer sewing machine and taught myself how to make bags. I created my first collection from the bedroom of my flat, opened an Etsy shop and the rest is history! I love the whole process of designing and making - from coming up with the initial idea to handpicking each element from fabrics to hardware, focusing not only on functionality but on aesthetics and originality. My aim is to create beautiful products that are made with care and attention to detail with a focus on sustainable and ethical manufacturing. I have always been inspired by my travels around the globe, especially the beautiful patterns of Japan and the bold, colourful fabrics of Bali. My aim is to create sustainable, unique and practical bags that reflect your values and bring a little sunshine into your world! I really hope you enjoy using my products as much I enjoy designing and making them. You might have known me as Maybe Mabel in the past. We run creative workshops to show you how to make your own. Our 5* ratings prove how much we care about the people and community we serve; Our 1940s’ Parties for Hens, Grown-ups, Birthdays and Children are well known for our great attention to detail and then there is our 1940s events, where we delve into heritage and social history. Or you can just pop in for a lovely cup of tea and original WWII recipe cake in our mini tea room. You know when you are looking for something really different, well, that is us!

We started making soap for our family when our daughter developed a mild form of eczema that was made worse by commercially-produced soaps and washes. We spent months researching, and tried out loads of different recipes and combinations to find the ones that work for our daughter’s skin – and for us too. We settled on a combination of high quality ingredients, unfussy essential oil blends, and a slow soap-making process that is as close to the ancient traditional methods as possible. There’s nothing else added: no preservatives, no colourants, no fragrances and no additional heat to speed things up. The best things take time, and proper soap is worth waiting for. What started out as a necessity and family hobby quickly grew into a mini production line in our kitchen as friends and family started coming back for more. When they began “pre-ordering” before batches had cured, we knew we’d hit onto something special that we couldn’t keep to ourselves anymore. Since then we’ve had our soap recipes certified and we have introduced new combinations specifically targeted at problematic skin and household application. Our soaps are available through all of our amazing stockists across Europe, and are also available to buy online via our etsy store. We are working hard to turn our greatest dream into a reality, and we are so honoured to be able to share our soaps with you both online and in-store in our own little bricks and mortar shop in Westcliff-on-Sea.

We are a small business with a long history of growing and using herbs, weaving willow and enjoy sharing our interests and skills to encourage others to be creative and to take inspiration from the natural world. Willow workshops Willow weaving is a traditional craft used for centuries to make baskets and other functional items. By learning basic skills you can have fun weaving with other natural materials from your garden. We run weaving workshops using the natural world and seasons for inspiration. Locally grown willow and other natural materials are used to encourage creativity and a sense of enjoyment and achievement. I created Maleficent Things in 2016 out of my love of movies and fondness for fairytales. I began by making a collection of character themed charm bracelets representing princesses, heroines, villains and the misunderstood, from the likes of Cinderella to Hermione, the Evil Queen to Maleficent herself. Since then I have designed hundreds of items inspired by films, fairytales and literature. From quote pendants and pins to pin cushions and watercolour prints, Maleficent Things presents an enchanting collection of original film, fairytale and book inspired jewellery, stationery and gifts. I am delighted to also offer private workshops, jewellery making classes and parties for adults and children. All can be tailored to create the perfect bespoke package, so do get in touch if you would like to discuss ideas. When the pandemic made workshops and parties difficult, I created make-at-home craft kits to help people enjoy creative happy time at home, and so Charming Crafty Things was born. I now have a wide range of kits available here on this website, and you can find a handpicked selection on my Charming Crafty Things Etsy and Small and Beautiful shops too. I studied Art many moons ago and am delighted to once again have the opportunity to paint, design and create, alongside looking after my three delightful boys (superhero powers: sarcasm, hugs and sideblinding) and a huge fluffy dog (superhero power: mood enhancement). I thoroughly enjoy designing my Maleficent Things and creating crafty kits brimming with beautiful materials so that you can make your own lovely things too. I am a Devon based textile artist creating contemporary textile art inspired by the coast and countryside. With no formal training I took up free motion machine embroidery in 2012 and over time I have gravitated towards textile art, developing my own unique style by using organza and net to give a soft watercolour feel to my work. Working loosely from photographs, but often directly from my imagination, each piece of my work evolves as it is created. I prefer not to use a sketchbook, instead allowing my creativity to guide me as each piece develops. Colour and texture are big influences for me and where possible I prefers to source up cycled textiles for their variety and individuality. I love the idea that these materials can be given a new purpose, and can be appreciated in a totally different way for many more years to come. As well as my original artwork my range also includes digital and giclee fine art prints, greeting cards and textile art kits, all of which can be found in my Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/shop/AlisonWhateley?ref=hdr_shop_menu I also welcome commissions of all sizes, and will work with you to get the result you are looking for.
