City &amp; Guilds 2391-52 Combined Course: Course Description The new Testing and Inspection City &amp; Guilds 2391-52 Combined Course qualification replaces and is improved on the former 2394/2395 that was previously available to electricians but has since been withdrawn. City &amp; Guilds 2391-52 course runs over five consecutive days, the first three days covering fundamental theory. The fourth day covering Initial Verification practical and revision. The fifth day of the City &amp; Guilds 2391-52 course covering Periodic Inspection practical and revision with an open book 2 hours Multiple choice exam. A 5 day City &amp; Guilds 2391-52 course for a student possessing knowledge of the wiring regulations and with minimal knowledge of inspection and testing, We strongly recommend City and Guilds 2382 is achieved prior to sitting this course, though this is NOT an entry requirement. Course Content
• Health and safety law and how it will apply to supervisors.
• Your supervisory responsibilities in controlling site safety.
• Risk assessments and the need for method statements.
• Effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings.
• Monitoring site activities effectively.
• Timely intervention when bad practice is identified.
Prerequisites
This course is for you if you are considering, or already have, supervisory responsibilities.
Assessment
At the end of this course, all delegates will have a clear understanding of controlling health and safety on site from a supervisor’s role.
Certificate
This certification for this course is valid for 5 years and is endorsed by Build UK as a standard training for all supervisors.
To remain certified in this area, you will need to take a refresher course before the expiry date on your certificate, otherwise the full course will need to be retaken.

Please note all Site Supervisor Training courses with the venue “Remote Learning” will be delivered by a tutor over a video call.
This training will be delivered and assessed in English language; therefore, a good standard is required to complete the course.

Completion of Introduction to Phlebotomy Course or working experience in phlebotomy is recommended but not essential
 
MINIMUM AGE: 18 (16 with parental consent)
A basic understanding of numeracy and literacy is required.
 
ACCREDITED: Advanced Phlebotomy & Cannulation - Level Three (advanced) awarding 2 credits (Open College Network Nationally Recognised and Accredited within the UK)
+ CPD ACCREDITED (14 CPD Points)
 
Complete our Advanced Phlebotomy & Cannulation on your computer or tablet (at home or work) and in your own time. The course can be completed in stages - you have 8 weeks to complete the course in full.
 
The nationally recognised and accredited certificate (awarded by the Open College Network) can be added to your existing certificate credit value (cumulative credits), and these may also count towards other similar college or university courses.
 
This course is suitable for you if:


You currently work (or have recently worked) as a phlebotomist and wish to add an expand on your knowledge of this subject with a valuable additional qualification, or,
You have completed our Introduction to Phlebotomy Course or have completed a similar course from an approved supplier and wish to update and renew your accreditation, or,
You seek CPD (continual professional development) or requested by your employer as part of your CPD or Induction Programme.

M01: Introduction and Course Overview. Learning outcomes, Assumptions and Overview.
 
M02: Basic Phlebotomy - revision:
Recap of basic phlebotomy theory and practice - precursor to the
advanced course.
 
M03: Specialised Advanced Phlebotomy Equipment:
Equipment and practices in unusual situations.
Patients with special needs and requiring specific attention.
Equipment preparation for blood samples that are collected at 0
degrees, 37 degrees C and other non-standard conditions.
A look at advances in technology and how to use the latest devices.
 
M04: Point of Care Testing:
What is POC Testing? Advantages, Disadvantages and Clinical
Outcomes. Comparison of POC with lab testing. 10 common POC
tests. Roles for phlebotomists performing POC Tests.
 
M05 Neonates and Children:
Sample collection from newborn to pre-adult. A detailed overview of
legal principles of law including child consent and child protection for
phlebotomists. Neonatal and child blood collection equipment.
A comprehensive look at heel and finger-prick procedurs.
 
M06: Geriatric Patients:
The challenges of phlebotomy in older people. Understanding skin
changes and venepuncture implications. A profile of common geriatric
