When we were putting this website together we were asked “what makes you different?” and the answer to that is very hard to get across in words on a website. We are different – we know that because we are told so by our clients and candidates all the time. Why are we different? Well probably because we are honest, we care about our profession and we are hugely enthusiastic. Another very important difference between The Work Shop and most other agencies is that we don’t have to try and meet unrealistic targets set by “Head Office”. Targets in our industry, such as insisting a Recruitment Consultant send out 50 CV’s a day or making 100 sales calls to busy, harassed clients, are the very reason our industry does not always enjoy the best of reputations.

TRACKSS was established in the late 1990s as a CIWM (WAMITAB) and City & Guilds training and assessment centre for specialist NVQs in the waste management and street cleansing industries. As new awards have become available we have added them to our portfolio, these include recycling and grounds maintenance qualifications. In 2010-2011 the NVQ scheme was replaced by the QCF and subsequently by the RQF scheme in 2016. Our RQF candidates and other learners are drawn from all sectors and specialisms. The full range of RQF qualifications that are available are shown on the "RQF Qualifications" and "Other Qualifications" pages however, for full details, please contact us. Most of our learners / candidates obtain their award through CIWM (WAMITAB), (the Waste Industry Training and Advisory Board) for whom we are a leading assessment centre. Because we consistently obtain high grades in our CIWM (WAMITAB) external quality assurance inspections, we are recognised as a CIWM (WAMITAB) "Centre of Excellence". Our learners / candidates have always enjoyed an extremely high success rates. CAS Training (formerly CAS Associates) was formed in 2010, to provide a training and development support service for employers. The aim is to provide learners with access to a range of managed funded training solutions by linking them with available certificate and Diploma programmes offered by our college and training provider partners. All courses are delivered by distance learning which minimises disruption to operations and service delivery. After accessing our funded training solutions, some employer partners began to ask for bespoke training delivery, drawing on our 30 years of experience delivering accredited training and development in the health and social care sector and with public sector organisations. We can now provide consultancy and bespoke project managed, accredited and non- accredited training solutions, via our network of experienced training consultants, assessors and quality managers . We also have our own team of inductors ensuring our placed learners are dealt with promptly and effectively, and a dedicated reporting team to provide regular updates and reports on learner progress. Our strengths lie in our knowledge and experience of the health and social care market and in linking people with people to make good things happen.
