We assist institutions in identifying and reviewing how they manage non continuation. It is important to raise student retention rates for three overarching reasons: Student non-continuation is: a key performance indicator for universities complex, multi-faceted and disparate a significant financial hit – increased cost and reduced income Students new to higher education need to be supported in order to gain the most out of their choice to study. Young entrants leave behind significant support systems typically found in schools and sixth form colleges, while mature entrants arrive with a distant memory of the prior learning experience. Retinent believe that if the students could be identified as “at risk of leaving” early enough and supported then they will personally benefit from their time in higher education and make a positive contribution to the economy and society later in life.

LD Training provides access education qualification opportunities within a flexible delivery model that enables students to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their professional goals, improve the productivity of their organisations and provide leadership and service to their communities, as stated within the mission of the organisation. Over the past 12 years, LD Training has successfully delivered over 12000 qualifications, across various sectors including; business; management; health and social care; early years; education; hospitality; retail; construction and functional skills, from Entry level through to Level 5 and specialises in providing education to hard to reach communities. Having become a well-established organisation in the Government funded training sector, LD Training diversified into tertiary education in 2019 in order to strengthen its portfolio and to provide ongoing career progression opportunities for our alumni. We are a bespoke Training Centre for students aged 16-19 with Special Educational Needs. The students will have an emotional, behavioural or complex cognitive need which will be reflected in their Educational Health and Care Plans. Our school will aim to admit up to 25 students each academic year. Each student will stay with us for a minimum of two full academic years. Our centre is a specialist provider with a focus on preparing the students for the world of work. The curriculum reflects this ethos and the students can select from a range of practical courses designed to reflect current job market trends. All of the students are expected to continue with studying English and Maths as well as developing their interpersonal, social and communication skills through Personal Development and Employability qualifications. Our aim is that by the time each student leaves that they are able to function in a work environment or that they are able to further their skills through further education or training courses.

Founded as a charitable company in 2007, the primary objective of SIEVEMK is to address the problem of educational underachievement among young people, particularly those of black and minority ethnic descent, in the Buckinghamshire locale. SIEVEMK develops accessible and cost-effective programmes and provides opportunities for young people to help them acquire the employability skills and/or qualifications required for further and higher education and career advancement. SMK is run by a 5-member Board of Trustees, 2 of whom were beneficiaries of our programmes who went on to achieve A-Levels and degrees at university, and a management team comprising of the CEO, Head of Pastoral Care, Project Director and the Admin and Finance Team. We also have ten tutors and between six and ten volunteers across each year to support us with the programmes we offer. The team members share a passion for the work we do in supporting children, young people, and families, and have a wide range of experiences and skills to contribute to our organisation.
