Tara launched The Collins Education Consultancy following her career as a Deputy Education Director for a large MAT where she was able to support head teachers to bring about rapid and transformative change. Tara’s experience in schools has seen her leading on a wide range of whole school responsibilities - including curriculum and timetabling, quality and standards, strategic leadership and management, pastoral leadership, raising standards and outcomes, vocational and alternative education, Pupil Premium and literacy across the curriculum. Tara has the knowledge and experience to provide valuable guidance in addition to developing sustainable leadership at all levels. She is also skilled at working with headteachers, providing challenge in a supportive and constructive manner based on the foundations of mutual respect. I am extremely proud to be leading the staff and pupils at Safe Start School towards achieving their personal and professional goals. Having worked with vulnerable young people since my early career I see it my mission to ensure all young people who attend Safe Start are given the educational tools any student in mainstream provisions are provided with.
