Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is one of only three dedicated children’s hospital trusts in the UK and provides integrated healthcare for children and young people, including community and mental health care as well as acute and specialist services. We see children from 0-16 in most cases and in some cases up to 18. We provide a full range of services for residents of Sheffield and South Yorkshire as well as specialised services for patients from across the United Kingdom. Caring for patients across the UK Demand for our services is growing and we are increasingly delivering healthcare to patients over a wider geographical area as our reputation for providing outstanding specialist care grows. We have some of the best medical and surgical services for children in the country. In 2021/22, 210,439 patients attended an outpatient appointment (including over 25% virtual appointments). A further 60,720 children attended A&E. 26,255 Mental Health community contacts were made across the Sheffield region and 23,341 COVID-19 vaccines were provided to protect children, young people and staff. Provider collaborative for CAMHS Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is the NHS Lead Provider for the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw (SYB) Provider Collaborative for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Provider collaboratives are new regional partnerships of organisations that provide specialised mental health services. These partnerships are being established across England as part of a national programme of work that sees the responsibility for the commissioning of specialised mental health services transfer from the NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSE/I) Specialised Commissioning team to the new regional provider collaboratives. The SYB Provider Collaborative for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) launched on 1 October 2021 and covers the following service areas: General Adolescent and General Adolescent LD Services, Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU), Specialist CAMHS Eating Disorders Units, CAMHS Low Secure and CAMHS Low Secure LD and Autism/ASC Services. Provider collaboratives comprise all the NHS Trusts and Independent Sector providers responsible for specialist mental health and learning disability and autism services for the population within a specific area. The SYB provider collaborative footprint covers Barnsley, Bassetlaw, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield. Our provider partners are Cygnet Hospital Sheffield and Riverdale Grange (eating disorders) who provide CAMHS services alongside the Becton Centre for Children and Young People provided by the Trust. Sustainable Travel Plan We have released our Sheffield Children’s Sustainable Travel Plan for 2022-2025. This plan details all the sustainable travel focused work Sheffield Children’s will be doing over the next few years, while on the road to reach our aim of carbon net zero by 2045. Did you know that in 2020/21, visitors travelled almost 5 million miles to our sites in total, with an enormous 72% of those miles in a car? This equates to travelling around the earth 200 times! It is our aim to lower this and reach carbon net zero from patient and visitor related travel by 2045 at the latest. Reducing emissions associated with traveling helps to lower the levels of air pollution in the area. Air pollution has negative impacts on our health, especially impacting children and young people. It all started with the little sketches and poems on the wall, where my bed was up against in Jakarta, Indonesia, which I regularly visited with a biro. I would draw around the cracks and any peeling paint on that wall, refusing for it to be repainted. It all started with the exciting and inquisitive union of a misplaced pair of scissors and the innocent green t-shirt I was wearing at the time, as a child. Years later, my mum then decided to get me a set of rapidograph pens as my choice of ‘creative weapon’, possibly to keep me away from misplaced scissors. So, I carried on in my teens where I would draw on pretty much anything, even on my friends at school. I would then daydream during geography while I gleefully sketch away on my textbooks, table, and bags, with this wonderful gift. I started the design studio and business in early 2011, after receiving my first wallpaper commission from a design-boutique in the Grassmarket, Edinburgh. Following the widespread acclaim the work garnered through various exhibitions since, I then established Moody Monday in 2014. After graduating with a degree in Design for Textiles from Heriot-Watt University in 2006, I undertook numerous freelance projects and work experience opportunities with notable design companies. I joined a major interiors company, as part of their communication and design team in 2008, and then decided to follow my dream and set-up on my own in 2011. Little did I know that I would embark on a career as a printed textiles designer as an adult. To me, a wall is never just ‘a wall’, a piece of fabric, furniture, right to an unassuming piece of trash is never just that, they are a world of visual possibilities, a treasure trove of delights! I love making the connections between objects and subjects that are unconventionally meant for each other and see what new wonders would exist in the world from that exploration, like an alchemist. Challenging what ‘beauty’ really means in relation to the chosen subject matter and how it resonates with the eye of the beholder. Being a visual alchemist through my designs and craft gives me a sense of excitement, fulfillment and connection to the wider world beyond my own imagination. Old habits die hard it seems. It allows us to go behind and beyond the surface of things, to understand why and how certain situations occur in our lives. Shamanism is a spiritual practice that goes beyond every beliefs and culture and is about trying to reach our full potential as we walk on planet earth, so connecting ourselves to the whole. Shamans were described as the first physicians, magicians, artists, storytellers, spiritual beings. But shamans are healers that make changes in invisible realms to help healing in the ordinary reality of the community. Shamans see in the darkness (which is the meaning of the Siberian word “Shaman”) while connecting with the divine outside the time in an altered state of consciousness. We can work together using different methods: A) Shamanic healing We can work together to solve one of these imbalances in your life, where you feel: lost and without life purpose, unhappy and unsatisfied, anxious and worried, overwhelmed and stressed, without energy and hope, uncertain about your future, stuck in repetitive dynamics, unable to manifest abundance, incapable of making decisions,not aligned with your heart, disconnected from the universe,impatient and impulsive, not focused and balanced, with low esteem and more? B) Ikigai coaching to find your soul mission through shamanic work Ikigai is the manifestation, the realization of who you are. It has always been with you, it is your reason for being. Some people are lucky to find a job that corresponds to their true passion. They earn a living doing what they love. But there are a lot of people that do not have such a privilege or can’t find the courage for such a big change.The Japanese people from the island of Okinawa have a word for you: Ikigai. It’s your “reason for being”, where you combine what you love with what you are good. Ikigai is 'what makes you happy to get out of bed in the morning' and is formed by the union of two words: iki which means 'life' and gai that is 'what is worthwhile' which the ancients called “happiness”, your soul mission. Our session together will be a deep inner journey, suitable for those who already know their life mission and those who have no clue at all about it or just are not aware how to combine their gifts and skills. You will reconnect with your inner voice and true skills to realize your true life mission. C) Shamanic divination is a powerful practice rooted in the traditions of indigenous cultures worldwide. It involves using sacred tools like bones, stones, eggs, sticks, shells, beads and more to access wisdom from the past and present. These tools reveal patterns, offering guidance on life’s journey. Whether you seek clarity or understanding, the practice connects you with the cosmic web of life. Explore this ancient path to deeper insights with us. There are several options in which I can offer you a reading: Eggs:Egg ‘Limpia’: A Shamanic cleansing ritual and a tool for DivinationThe egg is a powerful tool in shamanic healing, used for ‘Limpia’ (meaning 'cleansing') to remove misplaced energy. As the egg sweeps over the aura and body, it absorbs negative energy, leaving you feeling lighter and rejuvenated.After the cleanse, we interpret the egg in water to gain insights into your emotional, physical, and spiritual state. This sacred ritual, passed down from indigenous healers, helps restore balance and harmony Stones you will need to bring(have with you) 3 medium/big stones with some marks on them and we will then choose 1 and I will guide you through the full process to find the answer to a burning question. My personal reading tools (shells and pebbles) Together in the session we can also find your 9 Power Animals. Everyone has nine power or totem animals that emulate each person’s abilities, talents and challenges. For example if a person is connected to Wolf as a power animal, that person is a born teacher, pathfinder, innovator. This does not mean that the person has acknowledged the gifts. The 9 animals are one for each of Direction (4 plus above, below, within) and two animals that walk aside you each time and that maybe have come to you in dreams for years or that you are simply drawn to. Through the use of cards, while connecting to my Spirit Allies, I will find out which animals are your main guides into your life. D) Spiritual Mentoring I am happy to help you with any questions you have about spirituality, about your personal journey, about any doubts you may have about the next steps to take in life. you will also receive your full essence and symbol from me though "soul remembrance : I will undertake a shamanic journey for you to retrieve the essence of your gifts and talents and a symbol to be blown into your solar plexus. E) Meditation Struggling with your practice or even to sit down quietly for more than 10 minutes? Meditation is simply the creation of a nice space, it’s not achieving exctasy, it’s slowing down and doing something with mindfulness.  It is familiarizing with knowledge and bring it to practice. Meditation on a concept is not reflecting on something, it’s to feel it deeply- First you learn how to meditate, then you use it as one of the most precious tools of change. So 1) we learn 2) we understand 3) we familiarize…...and we change! These sessions are designed for your bespoke challenges and needings, for those that feel the urge to quiet the mind and find focus and concentration in their daily life.
