Our students follow a weekly timetable of acting, film, singing and dance lessons all taught by leading industry professionals that have a wonderful rapport with young people.

The workshop provides a context to express yourself in a safe environment with other people who feel in the same boat as you, and are 100% committed in supporting you in making breakthroughs in the area of self-expression, confidence and overcoming your fears of performing/speaking in front of others. This helps to counteract the effects of having your confidence undermined in the past.

Date: Thursday 15th June Time: 4pm Location: Studio A - Landor Road Event Details: Tim Haines is a television producer and director, having worked on several highly-respected documentary and drama productions over a storied career. Tim will speak about the following topics as well as others at the event: Approaches to Documentary How a Documentary Gets Made The Purpose of a Documentary Modern Combinations of CGI & Live Action Throughout students will have the chance to ask questions about the topics being discussed, before wrapping up with a wider Q+A session at the end. A multiple Emmy and BAFTA winner, Tim has worked on many well known series, including: - Walking with Dinosaurs - Director & Producer - Primeval - Producer - The Loch - Producer - Surviving Earth (currently in production) - Producer This is a free event that all students are welcome to attend. Acting for TV/Film course

The main aim of this workshop is to encourage and enable delegates to present their sales messages stylishly and persuasively to expert buying audiences and improve their conversion rates. The focus is placed firmly on performance and creativity in top level presenting. It is aimed at experienced sales professionals who are expert at selling but need to be able to present and pitch for business at high skill levels in order to land major accounts. Delegate numbers will be restricted to 4 people. Delegates should be willing and be prepared to give video-recorded presentations as part of the course. Course Syllabus The syllabus of the Sales Presenting course is comprised of two modules, covering the following: Module One Components of Top Presenting Preparation and performance in presenting Being stylish and compelling Differentiation, risk-taking and presenting Connecting with your audience Achieving impact and drama Creating a buying emotion Getting out of a comfort zone First delegate presentations Module Two Pitching in Teams Getting your act together - the plan Looking and sounding like a team The buyer's perspective Getting your moves right - choreography Dealing successfully with questions Rehearsing to succeed Second delegate presentations Dragon's Den Exercise The delegation is split into two groups, each with a specific product or service to win the Dragons' investment. They have to also present to the Dragon's Den their business case for feedback and negotiate with the Dragons to gain either an "I'm in" or an "I'm out" reply. A special 5-day acting course including voice work, movement, improvisation and scene work led by the amazing Stuart Laing – it is designed for beginner-to-intermediate actors who might be considering making the leap into training professionally.

Have a great time in the warmest and most welcoming space to try things out: Refresh an audition monologue from your repertoire Try something new with a speech Read a monologue for the first time Perhaps you just want to see how others approach a text. Or maybe you have a casting coming up… Participants may present a piece to the group, we then help to enhance the piece using the collective experience in the room, led by actor and acting coach Warren Rusher. We usually get through 6 or 7 pieces per month. Help each other to grow… you might have the perfect exercise or insight to help unlock a deeper understanding of character and text. There is no pressure to perform, you can just soak up the atmosphere and be part of the experience. Open to performers of all experience levels. *Bring a copy of any monologue you wish to present/work on. **If you are unable to attend please release your space - numbers are limited. Join actor & acting coach, Warren Rusher and improve your performance skills at London's best free acting class, Speak The Speech. Speak The Speech is a regular monologue workshop that has been running at Theatre Deli since September 2017, created by Warren as a response to London's lack of affordable acting training. A typical session consists of performers presenting a monologue which is then workshopped to improve the performers' approach to content and character. The aim is not to produce the perfect monologue but to use the monologue format to enhance each performer’s skill set and develop their acting process. We generally manage to work on 5-8 pieces per session.
