Overall, the AM2 is an in-depth assessment carrying out tasks to show what you have learnt on your training. Candidates will be expected to install, connect, terminate, inspect, test, commission and diagnose faults, following installation specifications provided and any relevant statutory and non-statutory regulations on: A three-phase distribution board and subcircuit A central heating/sustainable energy system Lighting and power circuits A data cabling system A safety services circuit and device Installation of containment systems (AM2E and AM2S only) Candidates will complete timed tasks in equipped areas that contain typical electrical installation wiring systems – all work must comply with BS7671 Wiring Regulations, industry best practice, and meet the requirements of relevant health and safety legislation. The assessment will be carried out in strict exam conditions across 2.5 days. Do I need an AM2 certificate to work as an electrician? Apprentices must pass their AM2 test in their final year to complete their apprenticeship. Also, if the apprenticeship standard is not being followed, an AM2 certificate and a level three NVQ is required to gain a gold card. If you are already working as an electrician, you will not need an AM2 certificate. If you are training to be an electrician and are registering for your NVQ level three in Electrical Installation or Maintenance, the electrotechnical diploma now includes the AM2. The AM2 certification is an industry recognised and something that many employers will actively seek when hiring new staff. It can also be attractive to potential customers.

The City and Guilds 2391-50 electrical course has been designed to meet the needs of the electrical installation industry, and is aimed at practising electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some update of training before going on to other City and Guilds qualifications. Candidates who achieve the City and Guilds 2391-50 qualification could progress on to the City and Guilds 2391-51: the Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations. The City and Guilds 2391-50 course will focus on the teaching and learning of initial verification and certification of electrical installations. City and Guilds 2391-51, level 3, is ideal for people with limited experience of periodic inspection of electrical installations. If you are already working as an Electrician, but have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying, or you require to update before moving onto other qualifications, then this 5 day City and Guilds 2391-51 course will be right for you. City and Guilds 2391-51 Course Content: Principles, practices and legislation for the periodic inspection, testing and condition reporting of electrical installations. City &amp; Guilds 2391-52 course runs over five consecutive days, the first three days covering fundamental theory. The fourth day covering Initial Verification practical and revision. Course Overview:
Complete this easy-to-follow Neonatal & Paediatric Phlebotomy eLearning course on your computer, mobile phone, laptop, kindle or tablet at your own pace and in your own time.
Learn essential skills and techniques used by phlebotomists to draw blood from neonates and paediatrics. Covers many of the skills developed by medical professionals working in Special Care Baby Units and Children's Wards.
The course can be completed in stages - you have 8 weeks to complete the course in full. Once completed you will immediately be able to download your pass certificate. (Your new accredited certificate will be posted to you within 6-8 weeks).
The nationally recognised and accredited certificate (awarded by the Open College Network) can be added to your existing certificate credit value (cumulative credits), and these may also count towards other similar college or university courses.
This course complements our Introduction to Phlebotomy Course and is a natural progression route for practising and experienced phlebotomists wishing to expand on their existing phlebotomy qualifications. The course is also open to anyone completing another (approved) provider's phlebotomy training course.
At the end of each e-learning section (module) you have a series of multiple choice questions to answer. You can re-sit each section a total of 3 times.



Is this course for me?
This course is suitable for you if:
You currently work (or have recently worked) as a phlebotomist and wish to add to your existing accreditations and increase your scope for work.
You have completed the Introduction to Phlebotomy Course or have completed a similar course from an approved supplier. We do not recommend this course if you do not have a basic phlebotomy qualification.
Add to your CPD (continual professional development) or if requested by your employer as part of your CPD or Induction Programme.
