What to Expect:
Rebirthing Breathwork - This conscious connected breathwork session will guide you into deep connection with your body’s natural healing intelligence. Breath becomes the medicine, supporting the release of old stories, clearing stuck energy, and offering a powerful reset for the nervous system. You’ll be held in a safe and sacred space to return to your heart, your truth, and a renewed sense of self.

Cacao Ceremony - We will drink ceremonial cacao together, allowing its heart-opening energy to support our intentions and inner journey. As we drink together, cacao will gently awaken the emotional body, deepen our connection with ourselves and others, and create the spaciousness for transformation to unfold.

Shamanic Reiki Drum Journey - With the sound of the drum and the energy of Reiki, we’ll drop into a deep meditative state where the body can relax and the spirit can receive. This part of the day will support integration and recalibration, allowing the intentions set during cacao and breathwork to land in your system.

Fire Ceremony - As the day comes to a close, we’ll gather around the fire in ritual. This ceremony will offer space for release, gratitude, and reclamation—letting go of what no longer serves, honouring what’s been revealed, and anchoring in the power of the wild, sacred feminine that has been awakened within you.

Meet Fionn – Co-Facilitator of The Wild Rose Retreat
Fionn is a breathwork guide, space holder, and shamanic priestess devoted to truth, embodiment, and radical reclamation.

 Her path began after leaving a high-control cult where her voice, power, and body wisdom were silenced. Years of suppression gave way to fire, initiated by loss, liberation, and the raw force of becoming. Her work is forged in the return to self: unapologetic, untamed, and deeply embodied.

A certified Breathwork Practitioner, Cacaoista, and Shamanic Priestess, Fionn brings over 15 years of experience in energy work, ritual, and embodiment to her work. 

Her path has been shaped by lived experience, deep personal practice, and training in breathwork, ancestral healing, somatic wisdom, sacred sexuality, and Earth-based spirituality. She has trained with renowned teachers including Peggy Dylan (Rebirthing), Steven Mulhearn (Celtic Shamanism), and Tim Morrison (SPIRITUS Breathwork), alongside other heart-led shamanic guides, including Fay Johnstone and FireTree Alchemy. She weaves these lineages into grounded, powerful spaces that invite real transformation through the body, through the breath, and through truth.

Aishling is a space holder, healer, and guide whose journey into the spiritual and healing arts began in 2022. A Reiki Master Teacher with a deep-rooted love for crystals, astrology and the art of manifesting. She brings grounded, heart-led energy into everything she does. Her path has been shaped by her exploration of the witch wound and the reclamation of the wise woman archetype—a calling that has ignited her passion for truth, authenticity, and feminine empowerment.

Trained in breakthrough breathwork, sound therapy, and a deep love for shamanic drumming, Aishling offers deeply embodied practices that support women in releasing shame, rewriting limiting beliefs, and reconnecting with their inner wisdom. She is also a cacao facilitator working closely with Keiths Cacao, a beautiful Guatemalan ceremonial cacao that she honours with reverence and care.

Aishling is the founder of Aish & Earth, a space devoted to living in alignment with nature, truth, and soul. She’s passionate about guiding women back to themselves—to a life that is rich, free, and wildly their own.

What is Cacao?
Cacao is a heart-opening non-psychoactive plant medicine and is one of the many tools available that can help us tune into who we really are. She supports us in softening our hearts so we can move from fear to love and connect with our inner wisdom. Drinking Cacao in its purest form allows a deeper connection to ourselves our intuition and inner guidance, which leaves you loved up (with yourself), empowered, and in your heart.

Shamanic Drumming:
The rhythmical beating of a drum is one of the oldest practices of humankind and a powerful approach that promotes health and well-being. When the body attunes to the supportive resonance of the drum, you begin to switch off and drift into deeper relaxation, assisting the body in releasing any deep-seated stress and tension and bringing the body back to its optimum vibration.

Drumming has so many powerful benefits, including reducing anxiety, quietening our minds, helping us to relax and deepen our breath, helping to release old energy that has become blocked in our body and energy system, and overall, it can boost our immune system.

IMPORTANT: Drumming is safe and beneficial for most people; however, drumming is not suitable if you are pregnant, have epilepsy, have a pacemaker or have tinnitus.

Breathwork is a powerful healing modality and although a safe, deeply relaxing and enjoyable process, it can result in certain physiological changes in the body that can produce a mild altered state of consciousness with physical and/or emotional release. This is a totally practical day doing a large variety of Surface Textile Techniques. This course is aimed at Textile and Art teachers who are either new to teaching GCSE/A Level Art & Design or those who want to add to their resources by spending a whole day developing exciting new ideas for surface techniques linked to a large variety of relevant artists and designers.

The Surface Textile Techniques face-to-face course is an experience that delivers textiles skills, knowledge and understanding. It is a great learning environment which allows you to gain new skills and techniques, showing how these can be incorporated in lesson plans and delivered in a fun, inspiring and engaging way. You can ask questions direct to the course developer/leader, practice skills, create a sketchbook resource for the classroom and network with other teachers.



Course Developer and Leader: NICKY SIMPSON

NICKY SIMPSON 
Your course leader is NICKY SIMPSON, a contemporary textiles artist, who has 12 years teaching experience, heading up Fashion & Textiles at a school in Kent. She has taught Art & Design Textiles at GCSE and A Level, Design and Technology/Textiles at GCSE & A Level and BTEC Level 3 Fashion. 
Her last set of grades were: A Level 100% A-A*; GCSE 70% A-A* (100% A*-B). She had a previous 22-year career as a print designer and colourist, creating print ranges for the international market. For the past 8 years Nicky has been a workshop developer and leader for the online and F2F courses for Textile and Art teachers on behalf of the Textile Skills Centre, including pattern development. Nicky has mentored many graduate trainees, and now mentors many fellow teachers through the TSC mentorship programme.

Your course leader is NICKY SIMPSON, a contemporary textiles artist, who has 12 years teaching experience, heading up Fashion & Textiles at a school in Kent. She has taught Art & Design Textiles at GCSE and A Level, Design and Technology/Textiles at GCSE & A Level and BTEC Level 3 Fashion. 
Her last set of grades were: A Level 100% A-A*; GCSE 70% A-A* (100% A*-B). She had a previous 22-year career as a print designer and colourist, creating print ranges for the international market. 
Since 2016 Nicky has been a workshop developer and leader for the online and F2F courses for Textile and Art teachers on behalf of the Textile Skills Centre, including pattern development. Nicky has mentored many graduate trainees, and now mentors many fellow teachers through the TSC mentorship programme.

Our heart centre plays a fundamental role in our dream&rsquo;s pursuit/alchemy of attraction and a manifestation. It holds a key to our emotional intelligence; sometimes there can be unprocessed patterns and experiences keeping us stagnant. Symptoms of this state can include: unexplained uncomfortable feelings, loss of motivation/drive, confusion about one&rsquo;s passion, relationship related hurt, feeling of a broken heart, inability Our heart centre plays a fundamental role in our dream’s pursuit/alchemy of attraction and a manifestation. It holds a key to our emotional intelligence; sometimes there can be unprocessed patterns and experiences keeping us stagnant. Symptoms of this state can include: unexplained uncomfortable feelings, loss of motivation/drive, confusion about one’s passion, relationship related hurt, feeling of a broken heart, inability to move on. 
O﻿ur ability to give and receive love to and from others and ourselves lies in the openness of our own heart's energetic field, physiologically where many emotions are stores and triggered through our "trained" nervous system responses. 
I﻿n this session we will be focusing on soothing the heart, expanding its reach and calming down hurt/blockages and connected subconscious processes. 
This will be achieved through a carefully designed protocol of a combination of methods and applied sequences. 
Sound healing is a practice that uses harmonic vibrations to harmonise brainwaves: combining sound therapy with hypnotherapy and other healing modalities, we achieve distressing, a brain fog removal and a deeper meditative state. 
Hypnotherapy is a completely safe method allowing a deeper connection within our selves and the subconscious elevating the effects of sound therapy. 
Hand in hand it is an incredible combination. 
The session will start with a light grounding meditation, followed by carefully selected sound journey frequencies activating your heart's energetic field, sealing the session with hypnotherapy/NLP and shamanic approaches which will deepen your experience.

The LAA operates a strict compliance regime when it comes to auditing family controlled work matters, and mistakes can often result in a Contract Notice, corrective action, and further follow-up activity within 6 months.
