Doula UK was founded in 2001 to promote life-changing support from skilled doulas for families in the childbearing year regardless of circumstance, while advocating for better support for UK families. We have approximately 700 doulas working in all parts of the United Kingdom. Each member must complete Doula UK approved training, go through a rigorous mentoring and recognition process and comply with Doula UK code of conduct and policies. We nurture our membership, so they can unconditionally support the needs of everyone involved in pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. Bees are fascinating insects that can recognise faces, switch between black-and-white and colour vision, and understand the mathematical concept of zero. They play a vital role in maintaining the diversity and integrity of our ecosystem, and we still have so much to learn about them. At Beesitter, we thought that we could not keep all this knowledge to ourselves and had to share it with everybody who is curious and mindful of the creatures surrounding us. In 2018, we took the challenge to educate and reach out to a broad audience about bees through our online courses and workshops. Beesitter was founded as a community interest company just to fit this purpose. We believe that anyone can care for bees in various ways, from supporting local beekeepers and populations of bees to becoming a responsible and considerate beekeeper. All our courses and teaching content are based on a scientific understanding of bees. Learning about bees is a fun way to acquire knowledge about biology, chemistry, and physics, and we take specific care in making these subjects understandable to anyone. We have hope that our action will raise awareness on the ecological and economical importance of bees and contribute to reversing their decline.

Divergent Brains is the culmination of our lived experiences as autistic individuals, our subsequent frustration at being so deeply misunderstood, and our desires to break down the societal barriers we’ve experienced so that others need not be limited by them. No two autistic people are alike and yet neurodiversity training so often focuses on one, generic portrayal of autistic experience. This reliance on stereotypes reinforces dangerous misconceptions and limits society’s understanding of what it actually means to be autistic. We take a tailored approach and place our emphasis on authenticity and lived experience as autistic people. We commit to delivering bespoke, practical solutions which take the breadth of diversity in the autistic and wider neurodivergent community into account. This community is at the centre of everything we do. We will never claim to be experts in anyone’s lives but our own, and firmly believe that it is not our place to speak for others; instead amplifying their voices and bringing attention to under-represented parts of the community. We combine our personal experiences with up-to-date, autistic-led research in order to share accurate, meaningful information and offer practical advice to drive and support change towards a more accessible and inclusive society.

The five-story structure was designed by KMD Architects with the goal of creating a healing environment. The exterior of the building, veneered in brick and wood resin materials, was designed to be responsive to the surrounding neighborhood, and the construction followed sustainable building practices that received LEED Silver certification from the United States Green Building Council. The interior space of the Osher Center incorporates nature, natural light and fresh air, simply organized spaces, and pleasant colors and textures. Spaces are intimate and friendly and promote relaxation. The Osher Center also includes features not typically found in conventional medical clinics or academic institutions, such as large group rooms for yoga and meditation instruction, the Takahashi Japanese Healing Garden, and treatment rooms for acupuncture, massage therapy, biofeedback, and mind-body awareness. Our facility contributes to the well-being of its staff and faculty occupants and supports the healing process of patients.
