This qualification is made up of one mandatory and one optional unit. There are 2 x 1 day workshops that will help develop knowledge of the principles, theories and practices in Learning and Development The course is aimed at practitioners such as tutors, trainers, assessors and quality assurers who want to develop their skills and knowledge in their own area of learning delivery. You will meet other practitioners who are responsible for process, people or practice within Learning and Development. You will get to share good practices and ideas for improvement and will be able to apply these in your workplace. Engaging your first young Trustees: Programme information session   Thursday 10 April, 2-3pm This free informal information session for museum staff and trustees aims to provide more information about the Kids in Museums programme to support you to recruit young Trustees at your museum, gallery or heritage organisation. Please note this programme is funded by Arts Council England. We have up to eight free places available for museums from England. If you are based in Wales, Northern Ireland or Scotland, we may be able to accommodate you if we do not receive sufficient applications from English museums. LOOKING FOR: ADULT FICTION Clare set up the Liverpool Literary Agency in 2020 to help address inequality and underrepresentation in the publishing industry. With more than 15 years’ experience of writing and editing professionally, including the publication of two novels, Definitions (2015) and We Are of Dust (2018 - which has received development funding from the Liverpool Film Office for a TV adaptation), she has developed an in-depth knowledge of what commissioning editors and publishers expect to see from a submitted manuscript. With a background in PR and marketing, alongside teaching on creative writing programmes, Clare also has extensive experience in pitching and promoting writers and has been nominated for the Romantic Novelist Association Agent of the Year Award! Clare would love to see historical fiction, crime fiction, psychological thrillers and women’s fiction, but she is open to all great writing with a strong hook in any area (excluding non-fiction, children’s and YA). She actively encourages submissions from writers who have been traditionally under-represented. Clare would like you to submit a covering letter, 1 page synopsis and the first 5,000 words of your manuscript in a single word document. (In addition to the paid sessions, Clare is kindly offering one free session for low income/under-represented writers.
