This Engaged session takes teams through the full life cycle of EVs and their infrastructure - from raw materials to end-of-life - and asks tough but necessary questions about carbon, cost and trade-offs.

Cyclum Vitae (Latin for ‘Life Cycle’) is a hands-on, team-based board game that turns the complex Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) process into a fun, interactive challenge. Designed by sustainability experts at Cenex Nederland, the game helps players balance environmental impact, time, and cost, while navigating the journey of a product from raw materials to end-of-life. You will have to adapt your strategy, trade with others and make tough compromises to stay in the game. Every decision counts.

But…What actually is a Life Cycle Assessment? LCA is like a sustainability detective story. It traces a product’s environmental impact from the cradle (raw materials needed for the product) to the use phase (life of the product) and finally to the grave (end-of-life of the product).

At it's heart, an LCA finds answers to the questions:
What resources did we use?
What emissions did we release?
Can we do it better next time?

By answering these questions, LCAs turn all those invisible footprints into real, measurable insights so that you can make smarter, greener choices in the way you design and procure products.

Through collaborative gameplay and real-world data, participants explore the hidden impacts of design, sourcing, manufacturing, operation and disposal.

Practicalities
Location: This workshop can be conducted either at your premises or at an off-site location. It is expected that the client will arrange the venue, along with food and refreshments for learners though out the day. However, this can be arranged on your behalf on request.

Attendees: These “Serious Games” are designed to run best with between 2-12 learners at a time. It is perfect for manufacturing organisation, sustainability/CSR teams, product developers and procurement teams.

Cost: We typically run 1-2 ENGAGED sessions in a day, or they can be combined with ADVANCED workshops. We charge £9,000 (ex. VAT) per day, plus travel costs, which will be agreed in advance. Where materials require adapting or changing for the audience, additional costs may be incurred.
