Understand what is meant by the term burnout to be able to identify and understand its impact on the individual and the organisation. Learn to utilise practical strategies to prevent and manage burnout.

Learn about common mental health concerns for women, the factors that can influence their wellbeing, and how to support our female colleagues.

Learn about the many benefits of supporting mental health in the workplace, identify the signs that an employee may be struggling with their mental health, and know how to have an effective conversation with them about it.

Understand why it is difficult for us to accept changes when they occur - both in our personal and professional lives. Outline the emotional stages of the change curve which maps out distinct stages all individuals go through after a change, and learn to utilise a range of strategies to cope with changes.

Understand what is meant by the term mental health and the factors that can influence it. Know how to take care of your mental health, actively manage illness, and where to find additional help should you need it.

The course will be delivered through 9 online virtual classroom sessions. The 10th and last session will involve the additional practical work for the course as well as the written examination (multiple choice for City & Guilds and written for Hi-Tech Training) which will take place at our training centre at 43 North Great Georges Street, Dublin 1 (completed online for non ROI learners). During the virtual classroom sessions, trainees will have a live video feed with their instructor talking to them, doing practical live demonstrations on equipment being involved actively in the learning. We will send out a practical kit so that trainees can complete assignments and practical work at home. The kit is the property of Hi-Tech Training and will be returned to Hi-Tech Training on the last day of the course. The kit consists of power supply unit breadboard, multimeter, cables, The kit consists of breadboard, multimeter, oscilloscope, battery and connectors, components including resistors, LEDs and ICs (AND, NAND, OR, NOR, X-OR, X-NOR, Inverter, Buffer, Latches, Flip-Flops, Timers, etc). Trainees will build various projects as part of the course. The kit forms an integral part of the course, so full course fees need to be paid at least 7 days prior to course commencement to allow time to ship the kit in time for the course.

Teachers will become familiar with the software, aiding each learner access to their college dashboard as a designer, so they can complete a heat loss report and other heating design elements. Furthermore each learner will have access to send surveys from the heat engineer app (Apple or Android) which once sent will be received within the college dashboard.
