This qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. It is strongly recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults One Day Course Cost:  £65 + vat per person This course promotes awareness and sensitivity to Safeguarding, enabling learners to identify the types and characteristics of abuse, record disclosure and appropriately share information with the relevant people. Safeguarding is how we can protect children, young people and vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect by the actions, or lack of actions, of another person. In order to Safeguard and Protect Persons from abuse or neglect we need to learn how to identify vulnerable individuals and take necessary steps to stop abuse and neglect. SYLLABUS A range of subjects is covered including: Making judgements Communication Roles and responsibilities Sharing information Dealing with and reporting of allegations and complaints AGE RESTRICTIONS Learners must be minimum of 18 years of age upon course commencement.  COURSE NUMBERS A maximum of 12 learners can be accommodated on this course. CERTIFICATION Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, learners will be awarded an Ofqual regulated qualification. The QA Level 2 Award in Principles and Practice of Moving People Safely (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification that has been specifically designed for those who work, or intend to work, in a role that involves assisting and moving people.  This 1 day course provides candidates with a clear understanding of the principles of moving people safely and includes the opportunity to practise and apply these principles in a variety of situations; individually, in a team, and with the assistance of equipment.  Candidates will leave the course with the knowledge and skills required to move people safely whilst ensuring that the risk of personal harm is reduced and that health and dignity are retained.

The QA Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Oxygen (RQF) qualification has been designed for those who are responsible for providing care to casualties where the administration of emergency oxygen may be required.  Over a half day period, candidates will learn about the clinical need for emergency oxygen and the safety considerations of this, as well as how to administer emergency oxygen when dealing with a range of conditions. Successful candidates will leave the course with the knowledge and skills needed to administer emergency oxygen both safely and effectively.  Achievement of this qualification confirms candidates have met both the theoretical and practical requirements, however, it does not imply a ‘license to practice’ – the scope of practice is determined by the organisation responsible for oxygen provision. This qualification does not allow candidates to obtain, store or administer oxygen without clinical governance.
