Memory Matters is a Community Interest Company (CIC). We trade for public
benefit rather than private gain and all of our projects and services are
designed, developed and built on the needs of those affected by dementia. We are
a team of dedicated individuals who share an ethos of compassion, kindness, fun
and curiosity. The team is led by Kate Smith, a qualified nurse and
award-winning social entrepreneur who, along with the team, works across Devon
and Cornwall. Memory Matters are champions of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy
(CST); a therapy proven to slow the progression of dementia and increase the
quality of life. We work closely with like-minded individuals and organisations
o achieve our goal of ensuring that every person diagnosed with dementia, as
well as those close to them, has access to the support they need to continue to
lead a happy and fulfilled life.
